This mall closed for one reason and one reason only. Crime, Euclid has become overwhelmed with poverty and crime in the 90s and into the 2000s.

The problem in Ohio - they had to many malls built near each other and they didn't have the population to support it.

What happened to Great Lakes Mall in Mentor? I was the Personnel Director of Sears there 1973-1976. It was a great mall then! great

I wouldn't really call Euclid abandoned with all those churches and stuff a small amount of people still go even if it is just on sundays
