This is what I’m talking about, the character and the charm of these old mansions is something we don’t ever see today in New builds. The beauty is off the charts if you can look past the imperfections and the decay. Can you imagine what it looked like hundreds of years ago Dave? I bet it was beyond beautiful.. I would love to have you go back after it’s restored and show us again the before and after pictures ❤

I got tears in my eyes watching your excellent video. How wonderful that there is someone who will bring this home back to life. I feel like doing happy dancing💃 Like many British people I'm a part Irish. My Irish family were all poor working class and probably worked as servants in homes like that one doing the menial jobs. I hope the owner will think about having some cheap rooms for the likes of me who are still poor. I'm house broken and very respectful of old and beautiful homes. ☺ It's unlikely I'll ever travel to Ireland but I do keep hoping. The architect is just beautiful they don’t make em like this anymore Cahercon is a substantial mid 18th century Georgian house altered with wings in the mid 19th century. It faces across the Shannon estuary. It was formerly the seat of the Scott Family and later the Kelly and Vandeleur families. Latterly owned by Salesian Religious Order before sale to the Whelan Quarry Group.

I think it would take more then a year to restore this Millionaire Mansion. Just so nice that the owner gave you permission to enter and even do an overnighter At least their are still some nice people around. You can be more a ease to look around these beautiful rooms . Beautiful historical building. It is hard to believe that this fancy place was a convent. It will cost a whole lot of money to restore it to its former Glory... Happy that it will be used as a Hotel or Event builder like weddings.... ❤

Omg what a beautiful mansion simply breathtaking. Can you imagine once it’s all done lucky lucky you. what an amazing property. at. 26:08 in the basement, is actually a place to keep bodies in that room with brick because during winter time the ground would freeze over so they would hold the bodies there until they could bury them. even in the holes where the ceiling came through. You can see that the wood is still good I can’t wait till it’s be restored to be a Hotel when you do the next video there. 🥰😍👍🏼

Very, very nice, and the new owner giving you access and overnight privileges. He must know a good man when he meets one. The amount of work that they used to do way back when. They did so much detail; the ceilings, the fireplaces, the wardrobes, the staircases. I absolutely love how they hung their chandeliers in the center of the medallions. . . so beautiful. I would love to go back in time and watch them create all the beautiful things they made. The time the patience, the craftsmanship, we’re so fortunate that a lot of those things are still here for us to see. Thank you so much for takings us with you David, we’d not get to experience all this without you. Last week’s video with Mark was such a treat!!! As always, stay safe❤

My apartment building is supposed to take a year to rehab, and it’s dry and in use. They’re getting it ready to celebrate 100 years in 2026. The one you’re showing is HUGE and makes school house manor look like a mini home! 😅😂🤣
