The now abandoned foundry "Poldi", once reflected the full power of the Czechoslovak industrial machine. Today, part of its workshops has been demolished, as it has become dilapidated since the production stopped in them since 1989, when the plant, with the arrival of the new authorities, began to lose working capacity, and two of the three coal mines supplying raw materials for the plant were closed in the city.
In the video, you can see the "southern" workshop, where the rail mill was previously located, and the "northern", where they worked with sheet metal. There is also a workshop where wagons with raw materials were once unloaded (for example, chemical reagents or rejected and subsequently returned goods of production). The administration building and the "old" archive. As well as the impressive size of the factory laboratory building, which also housed the "new" archive, engineering and design teams that previously solved various logistical and technical tasks to improve production. The laboratory building itself is of the greatest interest today, as it has been preserved better than all the others, which is what the frames on the video show.
Today, part of the former plant is occupied by the capacity of the Kladno TPS, with two power units.
