This is another one of those videos where we had great intentions on documenting a pretty amazing place. Sadly, things didn't go as planned. After learning from my mistakes in the past, i kept the camera rolling this time. It just shows that being polite and respectful is the best way to deal with these type of situations. Even though we didnt get the footage we wanted, we are able to explore another day. Enjoy

Old tractors you say... sounds like I owe this place a visit. I think that the first truck you shot, which appears to be an Autocar, looks like a good Killer Truck. Wait, there’s a dozer. I gotta go.

Actually, the name of this track was the Berwick-Beach Haven Speedway . . . it was where the racing Spencers (Big Ed and Jimmy) started.

I've been there several times used to always go there with my grandfather fishing in the pond. Some big bass in there. Fortunately my grandfather knew the owner and yes he is a hothead. It is a very cool place. The train is cool there's a food area and then the grandstands. Lots of cool stuff. I still have a old train whistle from back when it was beach haven raceway.

I heard the value comment. I know they don't know you. It bothers me in general about how one ruins it for all. I one time met an old man (one of the inventors of the starter for vehicles) crossing his bridge at the end of a shot gun! We became good friends later. I had been crossing the creek above and below his bridge. Later, over time, he taught me all about herbs. That was back in the mountains though in the '70's. I'm glad you're ok. You do a good job. I had hopes for the very best outcome. Oh well. I'm just not completly jaded yet after 58 years on the planet. 😄

That first truck looks like an old welding truck. I actually just filmed one today because I had and exploration fail myself LOL. But honestly I would not consider this a fail, you captured a lot, great work my friend. And when The Jig Is Up, The Jig Is up. And you handled it properly. You just say I'm sorry and you walk out. The gentleman asking you to leave handled it properly as well, very nice, no screaming and yelling, the way it should be. much respect to everybody involved in this situation

I can really can appreciate the history behind these abandoned race tracks. The owner son was very respectful with you guys and I can understand his reason to protect the property. Why can't they have once a year a reunion for some of these tracks. Maybe have alittle history lessons of these speedways. Here in New Jersey once a year we have reunions for Oldbridge speedway,( not Englishtown speedway),and Flemington speedway,even though there is a Walmart there now. We still have great speedways here. We have New Egypt, Wall Stadium, Bridgeport, Atco, and there is drag strip in North Jersey, I can't remember the name.

Sorry they would not let you continue, but if they have experienced theft and vandalism you can’t blame them for not wanting any additional publicity on where it is and what is there. The introduction kind of reminds me of an old amusement park and car track that’s south of Harrisburg, PA. They stoped running the amusement park about ten years ago but as far as I know the car track still is operating.

It looks like they recently posted it. Last year around this time there weren't any fresh signs and the one or two I saw looked long forgotten about. I just thought it was too close to houses to check it out now. I did get there in the early 2000's with a few friends from college, but we missed a lot that is there.

We tried to visit here and were met by the same guy, the father. We explained our intentions and he threatened to call the police on us. It’s very heavily posted with no trespassing signs and a no go. We tried reaching the owners but heard nothing back. Such a shame to let it sit there like that

I admire that you showed so much respect for the "property police". It's understandable the concerns the men had over strangers voing unto the property. You handled everything very professionally. These situations could turn on a dime. Good job. I used to drive my Dad's 48 International truck to H. S. back in the day. The truck you guys checked out looked very similar to to my Dad's 48. Was that one an International or did you notice the make/model? Just curious. I love vintage vehicles. Just bought me a 52 Dodge Meadowbrook. Just one of a few vintage vehicles. Hey ya'll...well u win some and loose some...see this is what vandals do for the good people that just want to explore thieves the same...I totally do not blame them for being this way...I think I would have brought a gun out with me most specially since they have already been robbed which is horrible...I feel bad for the owner of that beautiful piece of property.....imagine owning some property that people just help their self to do what ever ..not knowing what it's all about...just put yourself in their shoes...I think that ya'll had a awesome video lined up for us and I thank you both for trying to get it but it could have turned out much worse...so well I don't know... what you did get was cool....thank you and stay safe... That was not a motorcycle rider that was killed but the 60 year old flagman - he was flagging from the track surface and his flag caught the winner's handle bars as he passed through the start finish line - the bike when down and slid for quite a distance but the flagman was thrown like a rag doll tumbling up through the air - I would say that he was dead before he hit the ground - it happened right in front of me during my only visit to Beach Haven

No doubt it would had been an excellent exploration had you not been asked to leaves. J.... do you soil (figuratively) yourself when someone comes up during filming? Not really. This isn't the first or last time this will happen. Im more or less disappointed that i cant keep filming the location. I have police who watch my videos and are big fans. Ive been approached by them before and they see that im not some teenager vandalizing properties. They see in my videos that im respectful. They even gave me permission to go inside an abandoned home that they were parked by lol.

To bad you couldnt explore the place. It looked really interesting. I cant believe all the old race tracks growing over with trees and brush. Im glad the guys werent to bad finding you there. I get why they wouldnt want people roaming around the property stealing stuff but its just going to rot away. At least if you could of gotten a vidieo you could of saved it in time. Now those things will just rot into the ground instead of letting people enjoy them one last time. Smh.sad.

That happened to me at a mall I was checking out recently. A sears store had just closed and so I was checking it out. As soon as I was done, I saw security slowly drive along side of me and I walked up to them. That's when they told me that I couldn't film. Sucks really but atleast I still have the footage.... and not arrested 😂

It would be nice to get together with the owner, offer him some cash to do a documentary with him being interviewed in order to document the lost history of the place before everyone who knows it have passed away. I can understand though the concern of it then becoming an attraction resulting in trespass, theft and vandalism. Too bad some people would do these things. Some people are just A-holes and criminal by nature....

While you were in the area you should've visited the teeny, tiny Kmart along that has somehow avoided the fate of the ones in Dickson City, Moosic, Pittston, Honesdale and Hazleton (and Hanover Township back in 2005). it really is an oddity. Then again so was the one in Hanover Township (almost Nanticoke).

Speaking of former Kmarts, that one that was in Hanover Township (Gerrity's now) has an interesting old looking building (brick one all boarded up) up on the hillside behind it. Might be worth a look. It's just off the San Souci Parkway.

great track. There was one incident were a motorcycle rider fell off of his bike and the bike flew up and killed the flagger.

@@JPVideos81 As I said in my main comment... the county auditor knows who owns it and has their contact info... this goes for every parcel of land in the United States... even if it's in a trust you can find out who manages the trust and go to them for permission. (They will get ahold of the owner... they will not tell you who it is)

Yikes!!! Good thing the hot headed Dad didn't come out waving a shotgun...,..It would have been a very entertaining and informative video.( The pics and information about the videos,,,not you guys getting shot at!)
