In this video I attempt to get this vintage classic SACHS DOLMAR 110 chainsaw up & running, which has been left abandoned for quite some time.
Manufactured in 1984, SACHS DOLMAR has been a popular brand amongst people around internationally, however, since they were bought by makita later on in the years, their brand is not that well known amongst people, even though the brand name is recogisable and chainsaw collectors love the heritage they bring.
The history behind this chainsaw is very bleak and I cannot recollect how much it was used and the previous owners that used them, although I do know that it was unused for a very long time, aroud 9-10 years at least.
This video took longer than usual to make, camera issues during filming, sourcing genuine parts that is still available for this machine etc, although i have finally been able to finalise this video.
I will note that the clutch bearing is faulty and this is easily noted from the chain spining at the end of the video during testing, parts for this still await along with the tool to remove the clutch.
