Who doesn't love an "abandoned bike rescued and restored" story? I'm doing something similar with an 08 SV650S I picked up recently...mine isn't is in as bad of shape as this one, but it definitely needs some TLC and elbow grease, but the end result with be SOOO worth it.

Exactly the same problem with my Dl1000 2002 model rust in the injections. Still use fuel booster (1 year) that cleans and keeps the humidity out. The only real problem that I have had in 14 years.
Hey man, where did you learn to work on the SV650? I’m a beginner and need to work on a SV650 soon. Any books/manuals you’d recommended? To solve basic starting issues?
@@stylepoints973 you tried a bit of easy start down the throat of the carbs? If it tries to fire up then you should be able to write off anything major.
