The kindred spirit who collected all of these treasures must be dancing with joy in brocante heaven. She was just waiting for the right person/family to come along. Such a huge blessing to have this property with all of its treasures and memories for you to love all over again. I cannot count how many times i gasped at your bounty. What a dream come true to sit and go through treasures that were left behind…sad to see the neglect, I can only imagine why the family left these things behind.. you are so right, there are fewer and fewer people who want these old things and let them go. I would be in heaven to go through this house and make it a cozy haven! Have fun and don’t get hurt!

The 10 euro cabinet is a cabinet for a chamber pot. You saw the ring on the one left at the house when you opened the door. So happy fo you and your family!!!!

Lovely discoveries in your new home. While I agree it is sad that there was no interest by the family who sold the home to you, I think things happen for a reason and you and your husband are definitely the right caretakers for all these finds. I would be thrilled to have the items that the previous owners considered useless. I just don’t understand people. I dig through thrift stores looking for lovely items that I want to take home. I so happy and a little envious that you appreciate these treasures and will use them in your home.

Lynsey, I am so happy for you and your husband. The treasures which are in your house are wonderful, its like being a child in a candy shop. I collect antiques and saw so many that you have that I would treasure. Its always amazing how the younger generation does not covet antiques as we do, but prefer mimalism or Ikea like furniture. People are basically giving antiques away here in Ontario. I will live vicariously through you on your journey when you are living in France. Thank you for the vlog.

Some of mine are masons and some are the furnells. You are so luckly so much great stuff is left for you i would be in element too

That would be an absolute blast to go through. Do you think in your future videos you could pull back on the camera and not zoom in so much? It would be fantastic to see the rooms better. Also, when you pan, pan slowly. Many people get motion sickness when you move around too fast. I don’t, but I’ve read comments on other videos where people get sick and it makes it harder to watch. You have a lovely home that needs to be appreciated. I can’t believe they left so many pretty things, especially the blue and white china pieces! It will be fun to see how you display them.
