Wow, thanks for the memories. I had a ‘62 Austin Healey Sprite I inherited from my dad. I swapped the original 948cc for an 1800 cc MGB motor with transmission and electric overdrive and my sweetheart and I honeymooned through the Blue Ridge Parkway with it in 1975, what fun. We are now 65 and 72 and treasure those days. God is good!

The carpet looked like somebody bought some cheap marine carpet for boats and tried to cut it up to fit into the car. Definitely not OEM carpet. Great job as always on the detail! All your vids are favorites.

You guys know how much I LOVE vintage automobiles. My uncle who lived in Oswego had an MG Midget. I know you guys are young, but some of these cars you are working on are from the era of when I was young. I remember when several sport cars had three windshield wipers up front! I remember the days of when the windshield wipers would stand when you clean the car.

I used to have a Midget. It was a 50/50 car. You spent 50% of the time driving it and the other 50% of the time working on it. Super fun little cars though.

I liked both MG Midgets and the Rolls, too. However, when the chips are down, I'm forced to choose the Mercedes Benz 190C as my favourite. I see to like the resurrection of old cars the best. You guys have done some really great work. I like the Chevelle videos but I think the more recent '57 Chevy is my fave so far; my Dad had one. His was black with a white roof and red interior, but still very cool. I especially appreciated the story behind that video. As far as the carpet goes in this video, idk, looks like piece mail, I'd just bag it up, and start fresh.

Fascinating. I had two of those in the 1970s, one in Scotland and then one in USA. Lots of memory triggers, thanks (I think...). I suspect those seats are not original. I remember brown plastic upholstery, which you were glued to after any longer drive. The other thing I remember is how difficult it was to find someone who knew how to work on the engine in the USA, even in a relatively urban place like Long Island.

DAM, brings back memories. My dad bought 1 from my cousin who was restoring 1. That was back in 79-81. It was a 61-64. It had the metal dash with the speaker grill under the dash right in the middle. My dad would go to the local Jaguar dealership for parts. Don't know why a Jaguar dealership would have parts. But they did. My dad had it painted red/orange. The interior was black. One day my dad asked me to help him out with removing the cover and dropping the top. We drove to a large park we have here for the county fair. My dad gets out and tells me to get behind the wheel. There I am trying to get the complexity of a American Standard Transmission (4 speed manual). He starts saying clutch, gas, your going to stall it. Then he said, you are going to need one of those special cars for women (automatic). I'm only around 7 or 9 years old. Ahhh, good times. The only thing that my dad was never able to fix right was the electrical system. He gave it to another cousin who left it out on the street without the tag. That was around 89-90. The city towed it to the impound lot. They left a notice to my cousin and he never went to get it. My dad finds out about it. And he goes to the city impound lot and they sold it at auction. My dad was really really mad. He never spoke to that cousin again. Even till the day my dad died.

Putting the top up sucks you have to unsnap the top from the base then fasten the top to the windshield then refasten the top to the body I didn’t know this on my first one I detailed

el neumático delantero izquierdo tiene un pinchazo o se ha deshinchado o desinflado así que tenéis que desmontarlo y repararle el pinchazo para que el propietario o dueño del MG se lo pueda llevar y muchísimo más importante revisarle el estado de conservación de la mecánica y si consigue arrancar a la primera después de todo el tiempo que ha estado guardado sin moverse donde lo tenía guardado o aparcado o estacionado o almacenado su propietario o dueño donde nadie ni siquiera yo esperaba que lo tuviera o tuviese metido

If I was the owner, I’d have a bone to pick with the detailer. The top wasn’t clamped down shut in the front, where It meets the top of the windshield. There’s 2-3 big latches that have to be closed from inside the car as the last step of putting the soft top up. If the vinyl is old or cold, it can be tough to snap those latches closed, but it MUST be done to seal the top to the windshield frame, otherwise all the soap and water and ? is just going straight into the interior. I don’t know how that could have been missed/left open by the detailer prepping the vehicle, but it must have soaked the whole interior until it was closed 100%.

es el primer coche antiguo o clásico y deportivo cono es el caso de éste modelo de MG que en inglés británico significa garages morris que en la parte frontal o luna o cristal delantero lleva 3 limpiaparabrisas cuando éso solamente se lo he visto a algunos camiones o traileres de gran tonelaje porque tienen el cristal más ancho o grande pero la carrocería xe la cabeza tractora de las mismas dimensiones porque la carrocería de la cabeza tractora tiene que tener 4 metros de ancho y el remolque 12 metros de largo completo y la anchura en función de la marca del modelo y del fabricante
