Abandoned Youth Camp Overnight (BC, Okanagan) 

A few years ago I was hiking up Little White Mountain in the BC Okanagan. There is a mysterious sign along the way at the entrance to an old youth wilderness camp. At the time, I didn't think much of it and continued on my way.
Years later, I was reflecting on that trip and the old sign in the forest came to mind. Wouldn't it be interesting to camp in the abandoned camp and find all the items on that sign? That's exactly what we set out to do this day.
The best way to access the camp is via bike + hike. Last-minute, we decided to add 25km to our cycling trip in order to tack on the Kelowna Trestles section of the KVR rail-trail route. It is always worth a detour to Kelowna's #1 attraction.
