This is the Abarth 595 Competizione. Under the bonnet, the 595 Competizione has only a 1.4 L turbocharged petrol engine but this little engine sure packs a punch! I have already driven the Abarth 595 Pista and more recently, the 595 Monster Energy Yamaha. So is the Abarth 595 Competizione worth the extra dollars? Well, come with me to find out!

Great review as usual. You ask the questions that viewers want answers to and +1 to your view on touch points, Materials should be appropriate to the frequency of contact. Showed my 17 year old daughter your vid, you have a new fan and the Abarth has a future customer. Very best wishes for 2022.

A great review Anna! Superb presentation and camera work as always. Great comment about the rear seats for the mother in law, I very nearly drenched my keyboard while having a drink on that. I agree it's very difficult to beat Italian styled cars. I'm so tempted to test this car for the fun factor alone and you never know even though it may not be the most practical may present an an itch I may want to scratch and purchase at some point given the fun factor.

Absolutely brilliant review Anna. What a awesome little pocket rocket. Looks good in that blue and the interior looks very sporty. It sounds awesome. I guess more power =more fun. And I’m guessing it’s a little bit better than my mum’s 2014 Fiat 500 1.2 litre with a whopping 67bhp 🤣. Brilliant video and outstanding presenting as always Anna. Ooh, I missed this one my bad !!, Merry Christmas Anna 🎄, As we said before a car that small can put a huge smile on your face every time you take it out it has to be Abarth 595 Competizione. Yes it's worth the extra I should know I have had two greedy me haha, The Italians make passionate characterful cars and this is one of the best little Abarths and what a gorgeous colour 💌love the matching outfit I hope you kept this car as its the one to make you smile always and that`s a great thing 😃. Nice review! Unfortunately we do not get the 595 Competizione here in the US. What we do get is more closely specced to the Turismo/Esseesse give or take a few options that we get or not. Envy though lol

I'm so spoiled by you. Just saw someone else's review of a Civic and most of the video was spent on interior trim.14 minuets in( on a 17 min video) and now it's being driven! You're correct. Serves me right. I won't stray again.

Excellent review, had a Fiat dealer just down the road a bit (now gone) and was tempted but put off my numerous reliability issues. Still a little cutie but ultimately not for me. You have exceptional taste in watches, love that you went two-tone, bucking today’s stainless trend. Is that 36mm? The turning circle istnt very good, try doing a 3 point turn in a narrow street. Its more 12 point turn. Still a nice car but needs a re-vamp. Great review..

The Abarth 595 Competizione seems to be a small powder package, it is not something I would like to drive on a country road considering how small it is and then submit further crash-proof. Anna thank you for a good video and saw that you had a suitable dress in color.

Hi Anna. Have you road tested a Hyundai i30 N. I saw one the other day and I think you would love it. The Abarth looks beautiful on the inside but the outside is not my taste. Just a shame that Fiat are renowned for unreliability issues and the fact in a city the 500 is quite a popular car, I much prefer something exclusive. Thanks for sharing and have a great 2022.

Hi Tom, thank you for dropping by. I've driven the i30N many times, including the Fastback model. I did do a video but it was quite some time ago. A few improvements in the i30N since. In fact, I have it booked in 2 weeks time. But it will take a little bit longer for me to upload, there is a queue of cars in my stash ;-) Overall, the i30N is a category up, I'd say, the i20N is more comparable to the Abarth.

A little 4 bolt Abarth.. sounds like riding on a go cart. They really squeezed some sound out of that little motor. The large bottle there is probably the size of the muffler on this thing.

@@K03sport I personally have no idea. Sounds about right. But many manufacturers call a bottle resonator a "muffler" or mid muffler.

This car is very much an Italian 🇮🇹 opera on 4 wheels. Probably should have followed my Italian heritage and got a '19 Abarth instead of the WRX I'm in...however, the nearest Fiat dealer to me is now 50 miles away since the closer one closed a few years back

I'm kinda confused how 90% of Reviews of the Abarth-Range get 1 not so unimportant fact wrong: The "15 extra HP" doesn't make the difference in the performance feeling. Its the different turbo fitted from Turismo and up. The big Garret-Turbo gives a much meatier Lag-feeling and thus emphasizing the feel of speed and acceleration. Driving a competizione myself and testdrove everything Abarth every put on the road I know what I'm talking about.

You do not see this color a lot. At least not in the Netherlands. And uh.. Tune it to stage 1. About 209 HP; you will get used to that too. :)

Driven my 500 Abarth to LA and back from Silicon Valley area and also to Yosemite area and back a couple of times round trip + many other long commutes.. the noise is less the issue, more the bad posture.. presumably these newer models still don't have telescoping steering columns and really high seats and the cramped legroom.. still was fun doing Highway 1. Don't put anybody in the rear seats for more than a few miles unless they are

Looking at the spec sheets the Abarth isn't the best hot-hatch. It's got so much character though, and that exhaust noise... It's a car that makes you want to take the long way to wherever you're going.
