This was an extremely fun car, Michael and I battled for who was going to drive it constantly. As you can maybe tell by our mannerisms and befuddled wordplay at times it likely reflects how cold it was, hope you enjoy.
Have just bought one of these, having owned a standard 500 for 5 months. I absolutely love it and can't put any music on yet as just love listening to the exhaust. I had the 16" alloys on my 500 so haven't noticed a huge amount of difference with the firmness and find it really comfortable as a daily and certainly more comfortable than my husband's bone-rattling Comp!
Another cool car on your channel. My friend in Cyprus has the model just before this and the normal 500 too. So at Christmas I hope to film them. Keep up the good work guys.
Great review, i have a hard top 595 Turismo and although i`m no longer in my 20`s it reminds me of the hot hatches of the 1980`s, but with modern day safety...love it!
I've had 3 Turismo's now, including the series 4 with the Garrett 1446 turbo, they are superb, absolute riot, that looks like Arnside is it not? Nice review guys
Pete Rowbottom they certainly are, immense fun and yes New Barns, the Knott and the promenade, great spot. Thank you, glad you enjoyed it, 695 Rivale next on performance list, 500L first though.
@@PlanetautoUK I intend to! 😊 Thanks. It's got everything except sabelt seats and limited slip diff. 180bhp...🥳 Hard to find a brand new 595 or 695 now. This is the last of the petrol ones. Great review 👍
Ray Hunt My son thinks I'm crazy because I'm 73 and want an Arbarth 595. Always loved cars and driving do you think I'm nuts or go for a test drive in one ?
Well, at least here in Europe the Abarth since generation 3 has a big power failure issue which according to a statement of FCA is built in to keep sure its engine/exhaust noise emissions will stay within legal law, a random, full three seconds power failure which is unacceptable in a hot hatch I am afraid.
I't doesn't as it doesn't have the same turbo, the new Turismo have the Garrett 1446, the base Abarths have the IHI version, while they have similar exhaust notes there is loads of turbo whistle on the Turismo, I used to have turismo's with the old IHI turbo and the sound difference is really noticeable, annoyingly though the new series 4 doesn't pop and bang as much as the older ones :-(
