Looking at prints on floor, really. I was on a tug 100% DC except for electronics. Propulsion and all other motors including the washer, dryer, and refrigeration were all DC brush motors. We had 4 main engines, and 3 AUX generators. One for main drive generators excitation. This is nothing new it has been round since 1939.
