I rewatch this interview time to time when I need an ABBA BOOST. Here they appear in their most humble and glorious basking in the Stockholm sun and their early successes. Fantastic.
...this is really nice to see again, any generation of ABBA fans can either remise or at the stage of beginning to discovering more about them... it's a great 1st clip to get to know them a little more personally...i love it when Agnetha admits to not liking Mamma Mia or Dancing Queen at first, poor Björn! 😂.....love this thank you. 👏💓🚢💖🤗
At the end when ABBA say that they will be touring Australia 🐨🦘🇦🇺 in March (1977), and performing 🎭 Live in Concert 🎭👏🎊 I was very excited 😊😆 remembering that I was there! Yes, I saw ABBA 💞💙⭐ Live in Concert 🎭👏🎊 in Adelaide, South Australia, Australia, 🤠🐨🇦🇺 in March of 1977, I was only 13 years old 💕 Still the best concert that I've ever seen! 🤩💖💝💙⭐
The boat where the interview with Abba takes place is actually my grandfather's old cargoship, which he owned and kept in the 20' and 30's on an island off the Swedish West coast. It was later sold to someone in the Stockholm area after 1965. I only recently came to recognize this coincident.
What interesting here to me is that when asked about whether they thought Mamma Mia would be a hit, Agnetha said she didn’t believe in that song, and Bjorn says all four of them thought I do I do was going to be the hit from that album. I think this shows that the sort of Schlager cultural background ABBA grew up in let them to have taste that could still be sort of out of touch with the rest of the world.
