I loss my wife last year to Cancer between this track and dancing queen we use to dance all the time to these tracks. My wife was a dancer and model and I was a DJ and dancer. This track and dancing queen brings me to tears of sadness and joy!!!😪😒😀
I'm 65 and still a fan. Their music is magical. Reminds me of traveling to Europe back then. Everyone got along. What has happened the past few years? So sad.
My all time favourite song ! I just love it ! Both myself & ABBA are 50 this year ! ABBA won Eurovision on April 6 1974 & I was born exactly 4 months later on August 6 1974 ! ❤
I’ve got this on original vinyl. Paid $45 for it in 1986. Won’t ever part with it. Danced to it at The Armory, Backstreet, The Cove, The Pharr Library, Weekends’ Warehouse. Michael Stark at Backstreet would blend it with EP’s of On and On and On & The Visitors and PACK the dance floor for almost 20 minutes of ABBA-solutely party!!!
When I was a teen clubbing, they played this and "On and On and On". The dance floor was so packed couldn't even get on it. It never gets old, great memories!
Yea, How about the Famous Florentine Gardens in Hollywood, and the Disco Parties we did with The Maniacs, and other cool DJ's... This was one of the songs we played.. thanks for sharing Thomas...
Yep, I don't even bother to listen to mist of today's "so called music". The 80'/90's rule, they knew music and they knew his to sing! I guess I will be stuck in the 80's til I leave thus world. :)
@@jackdeman No Problem, At that time I was working at the Factory Fashion Works in downtown L.A. Alot of club people would shop there for their trendy clothes with the DJ playing Disco And Alternative music. BEST DECADE for me. 80's rule.
Somehow the past feels more like the future than the present. There was such rapid technological advancement, tenacity, pride, and just such a vibe in the eighties...
The greatest mix of one of ABBA’s greatest songs! Brings me back to dancing at the Boatslip in Provincetown and Foxes in Albuquerque. It still gives me goosebumps whenever I hear it!
Abba was a head of there time with there club bangers... disco was Deep house. high energy. Whatever you want to call it. Disco was the birth of the club music sound....
It’s still a mystery to me how could they not release this gem as commercially available single back in 81… would have been the perfect third single off the album Super Trouper… sigh…
I had paid 25 dollars for this remix and a guy in Cali paid 125 for this track. This was the last track that ABBA did together before breaking up. Luv it! I still have it!!! Is a shepi boone mix!
Definitely one of the most straightforward edits of a classic ABBA track, but it works so damned well. As far as I know it's never had a release on CD, so I ended up recreating the mix myself from a digital source for my own enjoyment. Not quite 100% authentic, but as close as I could come to recreating this classic.
Love the Hell out of it.! Great to Boogie to ! Love those Angelic voices! ABBA is just Magic to the Brain!! Great job!! Thanks for putting your remix out there for us. You made my Day! V
@djmoch I do hope you did a better job with the editing, as this is actually pretty poor edited, even for that time.. I’ve heard editing from back then, also without digital editing, that’s been done so much better… I’m actually working on a remix of this wonderful ABBA song from 1980 (released in 1981 as a 12” Single only) 😊
I remember I went to Guadalajara and Mexico City back in the summer of 1980. I had gone with some friends who had family there. They would play Abba and Michael Jackson on the radio 24/7. When I flew back to Los Angeles we went home and changed. We had gone to Circus Disco that same night and they played this song by Abba which I heard for the first time, and I loved it ever since. All they played in Mexico was Fernando and Dancing Queen in the clubs. Which I was not too fond of. One friend that I went with, is no longer here. SO SAD! Great Memories though.
abba pasan los años y no me canso de escucharlos toda su musica los adelantos en su estudio de grabacion temas como este y todos sus exitos lo avanzados que estaban para ese tiempo los grandiosos 80 una superbanda que marco una era musical a nivel mundial !
Just got back from GDL- Guadalajara, Mexico. Beautiful City and plenty of Bars. My niece and her boyfriend went also, he has family there. They are looking for property there, OMG! They have beautiful homes, and their pools are amazing. It is the Silicon Valley of Mexico. I went online to Capital Brokers Homes for sale in Guadalajara. The house presentations are awesome they play Dance and Rock music while showing the houses. Love It.
have so many favorites its hard to pick! But, being in the clubs when this came out, this is my absolutely favorite to THIS DAY! I still listen to it, its bittersweet as the song has such an unbeatable awesome tempo, the words somehow make me sad. It was a time in my life when I was really "looking for love", and so the words are powerfully strong for me. But, I can say one thing, I would put this song to the test against ANY of the club songs today. It's simply timeless. Also, I remember just getting truly "Lost" in the music as it pumped through the speakers. (especially the chorus, which sounds like a huge choir). I later learned that the brilliant Bjorn ran their chorus back through I think a Vocoder? and it created this magnificent sound! ABBA is to be praised for their instrumentation technology which was light years ahead!!!! ABBA 4EVER~WELCOME BACK ~
Dixicana Radio Arnhem Gelderland the Netherlands played this version on FM and I was hooked ever since! Dixicana the best radio station in Eastern NL !!!
When I heard this disconet remix by Raul years later(Circa 1986) after the new Palladium opened up in the City, DJ Robbie Leslie was playing that night...All I can say is WOW.....
I also like Love Insurance by Front Page. The absolute best Disco music ever from CIRCUS. Now I am retired at 65 from Mercury Insurance, been there for 22 years. YEA!
Hummm thank you , I was working in a record shop, we hat the master of it, Musicman gent, Belgium, still have it on white label.’’’ Never gonna sell them, and it was more trash and hard than this one.’’’ 🙏🇧🇪that was cut and copy track! This one is more listenable…but the other one is plus sexy 🎉
I remember hearing this on the radio. You could never buy it though. The album version was always the standard version. Ahead of it's time like #IFeelLove and #TransEuropeExpress. #LikeaPrayer on steroids.
Great job Love your remix. Gets you definitely in the mood to Boogie. Hearing those Angelic voices just stimulates the brain and gets you Rockin'. Thanks and keep enjoying the Best of the Best band ever! Viva ABBA!👍🎶❤
