ABBA songs were the record of the time there were created. This world no longer exists though it doesn't mean it can't be recreated. At least partially.
I am on my knees, tears are running down my face... It touches me to the bone... Lost my Dad 6 month ago. That was exactly his credo... Move on... Abba is and always will be unreachable. Thank you so so much Abba. 🙏🙏🙏🙏
This song was written when the group was breaking up or was on the verge of it. The song beautifully portrayed the sentiments and feelings of the group members at that point of time.
I politely disagree. After The Album, which featured this song they created Voulez Vouz, Supertrouper and only afterwards their last one, Visitors. They were quite far away from breaking up yet.
@@dodoxan4972 When the song was written, the marriage of Bjorn & Agnetha was already over. The song rightly reflects the mood prevailing then among the group members.
@@bhaskarbaruah433 The song was written/recorded in 1977. Agnetha was pregnant with their her second child. Agnetha and Bjorn had their baby boy, Christian, Dec 1977. They had not separated until 1978. Divorced in 1979. Frida and Benny, were still engaged and married in 1978. They had been together since 1969. The first album they wrote and recorded when both couples were split was The Visitors (released Nov 1981). Frida in an interview talked about the song 'Like An Angel Passing Through My Room'. She said she and Benny just divorced and this song was very emotional for her. She sings LAAPTMR from her perspective looking back at all they had together. The 'Voyage' album (2021) reflects on living a full life with happiness, sadness, ups and downs, but in the end they still love each other. The group never officially spilt up in 1982. It turned out a 40 year reflection of their past and who they are today -- very close friends who all love each other.
Thank you for sharing this BEAUTIFUL song & its insight. I can't ever remember hearing it in all the years I grew up with Abba as one of my favourite bands. Very beautiful song that does resonate with partings of any kind that can leave you paralysed & struck with sorrow & grief indefinitely until you decide it's time to let go & start afresh.
ABBA - I've loved them for the past 41 years and they still sound as magic today. Tonight I was feeling very down, and the moment I listen to an Abba track like this I instantly feel better ... partly the nostalgia for the days of m;y childhood and teens when I first fell in love with ABBA, and partly the timeless magic of their music. Nobody like ABBA. x
ABBA was like no other. They put their Heart and Soul in every song.. They gave us the best , Exuberant Melancholy! Today, I'm 75yrs young and still diggin' ABBA!
I've been trying to find this song for the longest time, didn't know the title nor the lyrics, just remembered the tune. I just typed (lalalala Abba) and it came out. The nostalgia is crazy, just took me back memory lane. Thank you for uploading this song and the lyrics, didn't even know how deep the lyrics were.
A beautiful waltz with a mobilizing urge. As usual, perfect syncronization, perfect harmony, perfect musical arrangement, perfect everything. Thank You For The Music, ABBA!
Ocean water ventures sometimes awful.
It is simply an act of justice to thank the person who uploaded these wonderful verses. ABBA is my distant youth and although I remember hearing the song as I do not understand English spoken at the same level of writing, I did not know until today the greatness of the lyrics
I found this in a moment where i have to move on, spiritual, menthal and physically even emotionaly, all together and its a fantastic way to learn, to Move On
“If I am an advocate for anything, it is to move. As far as you can, as much as you can. Across the ocean, or simply across the river. Walk in someone else’s shoes or at least eat their food. It’s a plus for everybody.” - Anthony Bourdain
"Move On" is a waltz song recorded by the Swedish music group ABBA for their 1977 release, ABBA: The Album. The LEAD VOCAL`S were performed by BJÖRN ULVAEUS in the spoken first verse and by AGNETHA FÄLTSKOG in the second and third verses. The Spanish version of "Move On", "Al Andar" (or "El Andar"), was recorded in January 1980 for ABBA's Spanish language album Gracias Por La Música with Spanish lyric - (No spoken First verse by Björn Ulvaeus ) - Lead Vocals By AGNETHA FÄLTSKOG.
"What really makes the difference between all dead and living things? The will to stay alive" These are eternal words that inspired my essay, Artificial Intelligence: Mindless or Single-minded?
I am sad for your loss~maybe that is why I have been playing this on repeat also. My mom died in February and I still feel pain and now guilt seems to be building in how I treated her. I love ABBA and it is my mother that had their albums when I was a kid. Hard to let loved ones go. Remember you are never alone. We are like a group of hurting people that all help to care for one another.
Emotionally we all r the same, be it any part of world, b of any religion , b of any culture, colour. Can sense the pain u hv have been through. God bless you!!! 🙏🏻 Love and wishes
Espectacular, simple, sencilla como la vida, envuelta en sensaciones y emociones inconmensurables, como el océano, el aire, y los cielos de Suecia. SIEMPRE ABBA. Gracias
