Since I lost my dad, I've been listening to lots of music. But I keep coming back to ABBA, more than any other artist. There's just something magical about their music, it takes me to a better place. They have another 'ode to music' song: 'I Let The Music Speak'. It's just as beautiful, you should check it out.
Did you know that ABBA were so good that they & Led Zep held the record for the most consecutive No1 albums in The UK, 8, (even more than The Beatles) for 36 years until recently surpassed by Eminem. "My Love My Life" is a beautifully sung song by them.
Absolutely magical song so imotional and true! I recommend ABBA "As Good As New" another fantastic song from that fabululs four! "Love your reaction !"
Just taking a moment to thank ENOMA! I grew up with ABBA, and thanks to them, and all credit to them for this old song. But even saying that I have to say thank you ENOMA for the music. You bring a love and joy of music of all kinds to the whole world as much as any band. Thank you for sharing your wisdom and thoughts and passion with You Tube for all of us. God bless you both.
I can't imagine a World without Abba, at the height of their fame they were earning more than Volvo, the car manufacturers. Never been bettered in their field.
"Thank you for the music" (1977) has many interesting details There is a video report to Björn and Benny at 1976 Christmas time; there the reporter asks them if they have a preview of a song, and there Both play the melody (without lyrics) of the future "Thank you for the music" how several already said "Thank you for the music" is the first song of the mini musical that ABBA performed on their 1977 Tour of Europe and Australia there it has other lyrics, which even mention 'John and Paul' (The Beatles) and Agnetha sings in Doris Day style The song is at the end of "ABBA The Movie" and is part of "ABBA The Album" with the version you did here and also with the Doris Day version. "Thank you for the music" it's a very special song for Agnetha she just came back from Australia shortly after she got pregnant with her second child When it was time to record it, she was in a very advanced stage of pregnancy, and to sing it she had to do it in a more forced position When you see her in each presentation, Agnetha's face seems to transform with joy when interpreting "Thank you for the music": her gestures, her looks and her pouting are unmissable "Thank you for the music" it was used as the last number of a TV presentation It's like an ABBA hymn and classic wasn't a single, but should have been the 3rd single of ABBA The Album After the success of "Chiquitita" in Spanish-speaking countries, ABBA also recorded it in Spanish and it was a great success in my country Argentina And the ABBA album in Spanish language was called just like that: "Gracias por la música" In my personal opinion "Thank you for the music" is in my top 20 ABBA songs for good lyrics, beautiful melody and greatest interpretation by a carismatic Agnetha; and in my Seven Wonders of Agnetha as lead voice in all ABBA songs and it is the last live performance of ABBA, in that section sung almost 'a cappella' at the end of the last interview of ABBA in 1982 but now ABBA comes back after 39 years with two banger new songs: "I still have faith in You" & "Don't shut me down" and a brand new album "Voyage" with 10 new songs recording between 2017/2021, released in last November 5 and a virtual concert in London since next May 2022 to December 2022 Now, the ages of ABBA members, are 71 Agnetha (1950 April) 75 Benny (1946 December) 76 Björn (1945 April) 76 Anni Frid (1945 November)
I have to say when I first heard this song I got very emotional as it sums up perfectly how wonderful and important music is in life. Saying thankyou just gets me. Magic.
