This song makes me 😢 EVERYTIME I HEAR IT yo...I wish my friends UNDERSTOOD the "I'll always be there for you FRIENDSHIP" lyrics...AND ITS live yo...LIVE!!!...THOSE HARMONIES ❤❤
Some of the greatest names in music in 1978 gave their time to this Bee Gees organised concert... and I have since heard that ABBA's Chiquitita is.. thanks to the continued success of ABBA GOLD the biggest contributor to the UNICEF fund... AND such a hauntingly beautiful song....all four members can be justifiably proud of their contribution... and long may GOLD stay in the charts and contribute to this worthwhile fund!
@@dianaramirez3468 I certainly was! All these years later I still remember how thrilled I was. "Arrival" had recently been released and Dancing Queen was at No.1. (This was at the 1977 Birmingham Odeon concert) The band were fantastic and you just knew you were witnessing and hearing something very Special) 🤗🙏🏻
@@janparish7895 Glad to read the experience, thanks for sharing🥰... If you have or remember more details, I will love to read them. Greetings from México 🇲🇽👋🤩
@dianaramirez3468 Thank You Diana I do have some more memories so I will certainly share these with you I appreciate your interest! Best Wishes from the UK 🇬🇧🤝🇲🇽☺️👍
I just couldnt control my emotions.I cried listening to this song. What an amazing group that was. We miss ABBA.Thanks a ton Patty for posting this wonderful piece of nostalgia.
Yep;me either. At that time i spoke no English. In that year i started to study English at Middle School because i was given the choice to pick a foreign language.41 years later i understand what they sing.Greetings from Argentina.
I was 8 at the time and watched it on TV. My dad also bought me the album which I played over and over for months and memorised the intro. Happy times.
Atlantic screwed up and didn’t release it as a single for more than 6 months after this show. They should have released it as the first song from “Voulez Vous” rather than “Does Your Mother Know?”
una de mis canciones favoritas la verdad, se la dedico a mi mama ella a pasado por mucho peor siempre sigue de pie pero mientras ella consuela a otros nadie la consuela a ella.
One of the best ABBA perfomances and "Chiquitita" the best song from the "Concert for Unitcef" also "Chiquitita" is the major ABBA hit in Latinoamerica P.S.: Agnetha looks so beautiful (she is divorcing Björn at the same time)
Would you be able to share more memories with us, please? I wish I was there but at that time I was only a little boy who would never have thought that possibility. Now I know that life changes all the time.
Nice performance, but lip-synched - exact match of the studio recording - Tto verify, also listen to the track on the live album compiled for this event. One of their most enduring songs!! Thanks for posting :-D
