For those who don't understand he is praising his mom and being grateful for raising him (you fed us even if you had not eaten and cleanse our thirst yet you were thirsty mama we are grateful)
They say real men don't cry, but I do everytime I listen to this song. There is nothing we can do to repay our mothers for their love, care and support even when we've grown old. I love you Mum. May The Almighty Allah grant you the highest rank in Jannatul Firdows.
I feel tears dropping from my both eyes when listen this song it makes me to remember my mother who is in her grave now. Oh Allah keep all mothers save from Hell. Adam Hersi From Mogadishu Somalia.

Man this guy has such a gorgeous voice. Ethiopian music is so unique, doesn't sound like anything else IMO. This guy is my favourite so far even though I have no idea what the lyrics mean. Love to Ethiopia from Australia.
He praises his mum for all the struggles she went through bringing them up without a father . Nothing will ever repay what his mother has done . It's a touching song for those who grew up in hardship

I am somali...he talked in detail on how his mom stay hungry and feed her children, she was thirsty and gave her kids water. He talked about the the thorns she got harmed by on the road and talked about how he will protect his mom from fear and harm and take care of her. Somalis living in Ethiopia some can speak Oromo fluent because of having a Oromo mother or live in area. Oromo is spoken more than Amharic in Ethiopia.
