The worst part is that there's clearly a LOT Abby is keeping under wraps regarding her SNL career. She was trying to be both honest and secretive to avoid any potential backlash from NBC and the producers.

They did not know how to appreciate her and use her talents at SNL. And so many people here are so hateful and dismissive, now years later she has found plenty of work.

Toxic work environment, snarky female old-timers bullying her, etc. Those who don’t know this have never worked in any corporate job. It’s literally the default.

comedy films have been making less money for some time now, so studios are less interested in making them unless there are strong bankable leads.

you can’t just be a performer on SNL you have to be able to write sketches for yourself and that’s where she probably fell short. She also unfortunately was amongst extremely strong performers like Kristen Wiig, Bill Hader and Andy Samberg during her time

She dated Fred Armisen so when they broke up it was awkward for both of them. I think the cast liked her plenty and I liked her, the audience didnt respond well to her from what I was seeing on the IMDB boards at the time
