Then she had no place to tell Hunter than Ginny cheated on him that was Ginny's place and Ginny's place only. So fuck her

@ok as i said, abby is a bitch. but she is NOT badly written. in fact, she's the only one who acts like a REAL teenager. she's probably the most well-written out of all the characters. abby is very insecure and her parents are divorced but no one was there for her when it happened, so that must have been terribly tough on her. i dont know when abby said hunter and sam lost their v cards to each other but if she did, it's not that big of a deal. ginny would find out one way or another. its not a big deal, i can lose a v card to someone and date someone else, that's how it works-

I mean ginnys self harming is very realistic and gets even more real in season 2 . She also struggles with her mother . Abby has family issues as well . They both come from forms of broken homes . Very realistic . Not to mention ginny is a mixed child with a white mother … she struggles with race issues and they portray that with her dealing with her racist teacher . And ginnys identity crisis in season 2 as well . Teenagers yo through all of that in real life

She struggles alot with body image and self esteem as a result of poor body image. I understand me being bulimic and everything we tend to not say "you look perfectly fine" because it triggers the fuck out of us and only makes us want to get worse to not look fine. It's a really messy illness

@@confusion6513 oh of course. First of all stop saying her body is perfect the way it is because the ED disorts our thoughts and perceptions of people's intentions. When we are in the thick of restrictive ED's, everyone is the enemy and when they are complimenting us on how healthy we look, our sick minds translate it as "you dont look sick enough, your too fat to be as sick as everyone is saying". The self esteem really is beneath the floor and the negative self talk is part of it. It's what fuels the ED. The best thing for you to do if she's having a particularly bad day compliments on her intelligence, personality, style or interests draw attention away from her outward appearance and body shape which also brings down the levels of self consciousness she may be feeling. Hope your friend is able to seek help one day because these disorders dont just kill you physically, they start chipping away at you emotionally, physiologically and spiritually.

Yeah. She ruined their friendship. If I were to have a back story on Ginny's early childhood maybe from ages 3-10 years old, I'd feel sympathy. But she always complains about her being "Mixed Race" and how the teacher was racist cause he marked her assignment lower only due to her not following the instructed work and not actually for the color of her skin. Not only that but she cheats on Hunter. I can never and I mean ever feel sympathy for one who breaks another heart for absolutely no reasoning behind it. Hunter was a good guy, what did she do? Sleep with Marcus Baker, the guy who always crept up on her at unexpected times but gets a pass for it since he is the conventionally attractive white guy. She never seems to check her privilege. She makes everything about herself. How you may ask? Well, lets start off with how Abby told her friends about her family issues for the very first time, and Ginny said that Abby needed to stop making everything about her, which Ginny was literally doing, the whole show. Before you try and justify it by saying "But Abby blamed Ginny for shoplifting because she was black!" It actually really wasn't cause Ginny was black, but more so because the fact that Ginny was an easy vulnerable target. Which of course, is messed up and rude, but Ginny isn't even fully black. She could pass of as a non-black american if she wanted, due to her mixed privileged. She also tends to blame EVERYTHING on Georgia which gives off narcissistic vibes. For example, her mom makes a cake for her birthday and holds a whole fucking party and you know what she does? Takes alcohol with her friends and gets eaten out, parties more and ends up in jail. She tells her mother, "WHY CAN"T YOU TREAT ME LIKE AN ADULT?!" As she throws tantrums, parties, never takes responsibility, has the belief that she has the most problems overall, and makes everything about herself. What's funny is that most of the world would DIE to live in a house like hers, have friends and have a boyfriend. The main overall conflict is that Ginny fails to realize she is privileged, she isn't special, this isn't "her world" and that she needs to stop making her being "mixed" as her only personality trait.

Like she tried to get Ginny's brother a therapy appointment for free, just to help her out. She listened to Ginny and Max's vents all the time but no one ever listened to her.
