Cheah! How many times did TOMMY throw his chest shield to Jason, or Zack, or even other rangers in later seasons?! Jason ran around using that shield AND the dragon dagger at one point in MMPR lol. Hell, there are a ton of red ranger figs sporting the GR shield lol!
@@mstoyland5974 oh please Tommy was a piece of shit. Always loosing his powers never around when you need him. The only useful thing he did was hand over his child to Jason and zack because they where doing all the work.
+Officer Dank Kush Lord the quantum ranger is the quantum ranger not a red ranger and to this day i can't stand how arrogant they made that character, sometimes i seriously wanted someone to drop a nuclear bomb or something on that character. totally not a good power ranger character. power rangers are supposed to send a good message and the quantum ranger was only ever about himself and doing things to suit himself even when he seemed to finally be turning good and doing thigns to help others you'd always end up finding out he only did that to be self-serving and help something he was doing. i still wonder sometimes how that character even got included in the cannon and not left out of it.
In an interview he said the character originally was named 'Victor'. Since Austin's real name is actually Jason Geiger, the producers liked the name 'Jason' so much that they switched the name.. so Jason is actually named after Austin St. John's real name.
Once Mighty Morphin first aired Jason was my all time favorite as he was the leader and my favorite color red. Couple of episodes later Tommy came into the picture and completely overshadowed Jason. Everybody at my school all went from Jason to Tommy as their favorite but I always stuck with Jason as I always found him the best in every way possible to me. Yeah Tommy was cool and had his own Zord and Dragon dagger but Jason is always my number one ranger. Red or Gold, always the best!
I liked Jason because of how cool, and reserved and mature as a leader, embracing like a big brother, stable and just all around ......cool!!! I mean there's just no other way to put it. I'm glad he was chosen for the lead role, he rocked it!
You took the words right out of my mouth lol haha…I remember netting Austin sometime ago at the same type of event he takes about here...but it was a different venue and 22 years ago lol...BTW..Austin hasn't aged at all! :-3
gosh he has really aged, I wouldn't recognize him as Jason if he walked up to me. best memory of him as a ranger though, was him taking down Tommy as the evil green ranger. Jason was the best ranger hands down
Dnac4life no shit sherlock...geeze you're a genius, it's almost mind blowing...I'm referring to him saying ppl recognize him from mmpr on a regular basis
Yes, I respect Austin St. John for choosing not to. No sense in posing when you're no longer in character, you feel like you're out of shape and then you outgrew the concept. It was a wonderful memory for a lot of people but if St. John doesn't want to remembered strictly like that, that's cool.
Some part about Jason being the one and only leader of the original power rangers is brave, bold and a fighter too I'll always respect him just wish he still continue being the red ranger but being the next gold ranger was good that also means he use to be the sixth ranger in zeo.
even though I'm 28 years old grew up watching the original Power Rangers this is probably the saddest thing that I've ever heard last names probably not but I can still tell you every single original Power Ranger name that was the best show ever
Even though I was a green ranger fan I like them all it said that the original yellow Rangers gone but they was all the best that was the good old days
There's all sorts of trivia people know about. Do you know how many Egyption pharoah's there are? I don't. I only know one. King Tutankhamen and he was a child when he became king and then later died. How's it going to affect my life? Zero, but I just know it.
No desire to wear the uniform. Yet JDF would proudly wear his green and white Ranger suits. I've always respected JDF because he was more of a real Ranger and a humbled person to his fans. The Power Rangers universe has lost the main and most important person to carry it on.
RED RANGER.................................................................................................................................................................................ROCKS.
Jason was my favorite ranger as a kid. Grade 1 circa '94, it was all about Dragon Ball Z, Spiderman animated series, X-men & Marvel trading cards, The Mask. Of course the first Rangers movie was AWFUL. They ruined my favorite live action show within a very short time. The action figures were still cool though.
I wonder how he would look in that suit now.....He looks like a damn dino zoid now himself. That boy love 2 eat look like. I bet he be like" its dinner time!!!!!" 😂😂😂😂😂
There's a difference between being fat, and slightly overweight. Austin is still in great shape here, he's very solid-like. Not to mention that he has reached his forties, so the age is starting to get to him.
