Arizona has the right to do as they please with their own laws. That's the purpose of states and borders and jurisdiction since the beginning of settling this land. If they wish to be the one state that has an anti-abortion law in place, for whichever measurement of days to months of their own; then that is their right. As a person from New York state where abortion is acceptable is declared acceptable, I believe they should be able to keep their peace in their own ways. No matter the opinion from other states.

I think the trucker thought that since he could no longer make money he might as well retire in a prison for life where he'll be fed and somewhat sheltered... Same logic why many homeless do not give a damn and walk around shanking people before winter comes... I think the problem is many-fold and the US needs a stronger social net to catch these people before they feel pressured by poverty to do something regrettable and stupid. Also, a high crime rate is a sign of unemployment, poor pay, and slim-to-none social services that would keep these people above the line. I do not condone what the trucker did but he did not start his life out being prone to go into a psychosis-fueled rampage. The US has an increasingly severe social, welfare and mental healthcare crisis whilst the Republicans and the Democrats both won't do anything about correcting the root causes of all these issues. This will only get worse... ☹
