Here in Canada they make us read other cultures religious texts including the Quran but it's not okay for kids to read the Bible??? How is that allowed? We have to read everyone else's cultural material but when it comes to our own cultural material we're not allowed to read it because apparently that's racist and bigoted

In regards to the Oklahoma ruling that is decimating the separation of church and state, I simply cannot believe it, but given what I was taught I’m not surprised. First Louisiana's Ten Commandments ruling, now Oklahoma’s which goes even further. First, I want to state that I attended a Seventh Day Adventist Church school from 1st-12th grade. I no longer attend church but I hold much of what I was taught as True, to this day. We didn’t have the Ten Commandments posted in every classroom. We did, in elementary school as I recall, recite the Pledge of Allegiance Every morning, with our hands over our hearts. My mother decided to send my sister and I to a church school, after what my brothers, 9 and 11 years older had experienced in the public schools of the RGV, TX, in the 1960’s/early 70’s. We, my sister and I, had Bible class each day but It Was At A Church school. It Was Not A Public School. Our Founding Fathers fought, for many reasons for our Freedom from England. I would like to point out one thing that often gets overlooked. Included in THE *1ST* AMENDMENT IS THE FOLLOWING: “Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof …”. State Funded Public Schools are NOT THE SAME as PRIVATE CHURCH SCHOOLS. From what I was taught, while attending a Church School, Specifically about the Separation of Church and State was the following prediction. It came from one of the cofounders of our church and was made over 150 years ago. To make it succinct I’ll put it this way-there will come a time when the Separation of Church and State will be eroded. It will be gone, overturned. To me it sure looks like we are headed in that direction. The VERY DIRECTION OUR FOUNDING FATHERS WERE AGAINST AND WROTE INTO OUR CONSTITUTION, TO PREVENT IT FROM HAPPENING. I’m not making this comment to try and indoctrinate anyone. Like I said, I don’t and haven’t gone to church for decades now. I will only say this, Educate Yourselves. Watched the debate last night. I was surprised. CNN, which I rarely give praise to, actually did a great debate and the format they used would be great if all the debates follow the same method. The moderators didn't let their bias come through during the debate either. It was better than any of the debates in the last presidential election cycle. As for persona attacks or yelling, it was Biden who did more of it, than Trump. Biden stuttered at times, but the most surprising was Trump saying he originally wasn't going to run again, but the Democrats came after him soon after he had left the office. CNN surprised me, doing better, and nothing as bad as the debate which Chris Wallace moderated last election.
Educational law only says you cannot proselytize. It doesn’t say you can’t teach or put up words up unless you could prove that that is proselytizing which is gonna be kind of hard with words on the wall… any kind of religion in which the persuasion element is present that would be considered illegal- the best way to control that is just intimidate teachers on matters that have nothing to do with it and try to run them out of the school or get them to shut up … same within administrator…
What makes the Bible a source of how are country was formed? I am all for religion but I don’t feel that it has a place in school, that is something that should be taught by the parents or have the ultimate say.

Actually, I was thinking about an incident two nights ago in town where a Taco Bell was suddenly without power at 1:am, and some or all of the employees were in the parking lot, maybe because it was dark inside. A man approached them to rob them, abducted the female manager, stole a car, and killed her. That kind of senseless killing.

I'm against abortion all the way but if the mother is at serious risk she should be spared, the fetus could be brought out as a premature if able to be kept alive.

I agree. this opens up the door for all religions. There's a reason why church and state were always separated. Now this invite's all the freaking religions in the schools.. I just want the kids to learn. Religion is taught at home by the parents and at your religious representative. Not at school. Keep in mind I'm Catholic and I'm pissed off about all this. I can see the family getting money if it was a poor judgment on the doctors prescribing not for those who misused it to get high and use more and never followed the directions
In 2003 I broke several toes. A doctor prescribed me 6 hydrocodone a day for 28 days. I was 23 and it took 7 years to get sober. The ease that someone with good insurance could get pills was incredible. 320 a month for shoulder pain. I definitely blame the DR for setting me on that path.
@@b1646717 If not for this medication I could not have continued working the last 20 years as corporate secretary/treasurer. When I retired I was suddenly dropped. Can't say I had any withdrawal effects over the past 2 years except for the illnesses and pain that I was taking it for. All the meds I have to take now have much worse side effects.
The company was giving Dr. a bonus for each prescription they wrote for it. Company knew was highly addictive, but told Dr it wasn't and even printed it wasnt. Addicting people on purpose. Guilty.
