I have no problem signing the check for five billion because America has made this possible. If one day they need more to lower the deficit, I’ll sign that too. If the other 800 companies paid what they should there would be no need for individuals to pay any income taxes.” He got a big round of applause for the shareholders. Harrison Butker didn't say anything about the LGTB community. And he was speaking to a Catholic audience, as a Catholic about Catholic issues. PRIDE is a deadly sin. I'm not religious, but i understand preaching against being proud and pride. Pride comes before the fall. It isn't about sexuality, it's about putting YOURSELF before everything else, family, God and responsibility. This is why people don't trust the media. The home explosions story needs more context. WNT should do an in-depth report on how many, whether more or less than "normal", or whether reports are a function of more video available. Are they all gas explosions, what kind of gas, what kind of appliances, etc.? Is there any connection to gas stove controversy that GOP is stoking? And any other issues that may be relevant.

@@oberstraphry They could give stimulus/sustainability checks to seniors on a fixed income that does not keep pace with this ridiculous inflation. There actually are three bills in the House on this issue and one could be passed if congress was so inclined (or Joe could sign an executive order). They know that the Social Security COLA is not calculated properly to keep up with inflation and any help for seniors would be greatly appreciated, especially from a major voting constituency. They have to want to do it, just like they want to fund warmongering.
I don’t feel that Harrison’s speech was so wrong….. we have moved away from what is right in this world, just pause and take a look of what’s happening in the US and around the world, Trumpie is out of control , our Supreme Court has seemly forgotten about morals values and ethics, the senate are behaving like they are in elementary school, ……it takes but for one to stand up and he should Not be penalized for speaking freely and spilling truths 😇
Butker spoke the message his practicing Catholic audience wanted to hear. That's not controversial. It's a protected right called freedom of speech, and is closely related to freedom of religion. To each, his/hers/their own. Get over it.
