"Abdu'l-Baha: The Mystery - Part 4: Travels in the West" is the fourth part of a series of six documentary films covering the life of Abdu'l-Baha, the eldest son of Baha'u'llah, the Prophet-founder of the Baha'i Faith.
Produced by Fred Badiyan and Ramin Khadem in honor of the centenary of the ascension of Abdu'l-Baha (bit.ly/3jkV0WX), this six-part series covers the life of Abdu'l-Baha in chronological order, from His childhood and imprisonment, to His travels and ascension.

I can't believe how much I'm learning about all this history. Perhaps I forgot these things or perhaps I never knew them, but it's just fantastic learning about all this. I loved seeing the Bahá'í World Congress choir and orchestra performing Dastam Begir. I played string bass in the orchestra and my late husband was the principal clarinetist. My daughter sang in the choir. What wonderful memories we have! Also, when I first became a Bahá'í in San Francisco, we had regular members at our Feasts who had met 'Abdu'l-Bahá. One of them, Lucy Marshall, simply glowed, and this was in 1964 until her passing.

11:50 Just a small thing.. this photo is not of Louisa Mathew (English wife of Louis Gregory) but actually Louisa "Loulie" Albee Mathews (American Baha'i teacher and author). Otherwise, great doco and many thanks to the creators! 😀

Thanks a lot for the such a interesting documentary films covering the life of Abdu'l-Baha. I'm Author of "Baha`i Faith in Azerbaijan or Manifestation of the Promised One" ( in Azerbaijani), First edition, 2013. At the moment I'm working on 2nd edition. I found a lot of interesting photos and would like ask for some of them in original - not coping. Should you find the request possible please let us to know.
