This song has every word I've never been able to find to talk about someone. I used this song over a bunch of photos of this guy I really liked, and I knew he wouldn't see it, but every time this song came on, I put my whole heart and soul into singing it because it meant so much to me. It personally hurt to know that he wouldn't hear the song, but I thought about him every time I heard this song. I called it his song. I've moved on from the guy, but now I think of everything I used to have for him and regret nothing. It changed me a lot, and this song now makes me smile when I hear it because I grew so much from him, and I couldn't be more thankful that I found this song. It has so much meant for so many people, some the same and some different and that's what's so special about it. This song truly makes me feel better knowing that I'm not the only one who felt this way about someone at some point in their life.

Oh my god this. This song was able to perfectly describe all and everything I felt within the previous months I've had with this person. The first person I've felt butterflies for my whole life. But he already has someone else and I'm really, really happy for him, truly. Our friends have told me that what we had was different, like we had our own world with just the two of us in each other's presence, though deep down I knew that it really wasn't anything. For so long, I was terrified to tell him, terrified to lose what we already had which I held so close, far more important than these stupid little feelings. But it was too much, too overwhelming. I confessed to him sometime ago. Not hoping for him to reciprocate my feelings back, but for closure and establishing my boundary as one of his friends. This, I made clear. I won't say that it didn't hurt because it did. A lot, despite the fact that I already accepted it a long time ago. But even during his rejection he was still so, so kind. He still smiled.
