I never knew about chants in worshiping God. But when I had fallen, I was longing in my spirit for a spiritual revival then somewhere I got to know Theophilus and the music he use to worship. And immediately I heard it, it was like my soul had landed on what it was looking for. I downloaded and began listening and the words, prayers, scriptural references and tongues were consistent to my spiritual revival until now I came out of the terrible state I was in and I enjoy my salvation now. That is when I got to know that that kind of worship is called spiritual chanting( the bible talks about admonishing each other with spiritual songs) . I thank God finding me away to stand up again when I was falling.

If the absence of words is what makes a chant wrong then groaning in the spirit is wrong. Infact tongues will be wrong too. Then the melody that made the prophets prophecy in the old testament is also wrong. Finally, he gave a scripture of what songs do, and used that to say chant is wrong. You can't say I don't know anything, that's an insult, the scriptures say in love we correct one another. Now back to the subject matter, the reason I used groaning is to establish the fact that there's nothing wrong with repetition. Groaning is from the Holy Spirit and it is repetitive, secondly it's not words that can be understood. This two conditions are exactly the same with chants. So if the you say chants are wrong because of this two conditions then groaning too should be wrong. You totally missed the point I was making. I am a psalmist you can't write a Psalm, a song or a melody without repeating. And a chant is a melody which is clearly recommended in Ephesians 5 vs 19. I did say you can't say piano is bad because Bible mentioned only strings. Show me where the scriptures even suggested that a chant should not be used. God is very intentional, He let's us know anything that's dear or important to His heart. Last time I checked, Paul never gave a doctrine on musical style or genre. We should not put an unnecessary yoke on ourselves, the ultimate commandment which is love is we are yet to keep, what is the place of chants in God's agenda. Channel is an avenue or gateway or pathway through which your new life or regenerated spirit expresses itself in the physical body. The rivers of living water that flows from the belly, what pathway or CHANNEL does it flow through?? THAT CHANNEL is the way of life of the Spirit of God... Chanting is simply singing in tongues and we have been doing that for decades...we used to call it singing a new song unto the Lord....it's just that the young now call it chanting. The question is, when someone says that Jesus gave him a revelation outside the bible, which Jesus spoke to him? Is it Jesus Christ of Nazareth or another Jesus (Bar Jesus). Well, I am surprised at the conclusion he gave to the issue of chanting, A chant is simply a melody, and you cannot have a song without a melody. Not every song has words, they are songs without words. Ephesians 5V18, says singing and making melody in your hearts to the Lord. With due respect Sir, that scripture is the exact rendition of Colosions 3 vs 16, So you cannot condemn chanting based on one scripture alone when there are several other scriptures that surports it. Please let somebody tell me, When Saul prophesied and when the music was being played, what are the words of the song. I was never able to pray for long hours until I began to pray using melodies. Sometimes melodies that have words attached. Infact the more I groan in the Holy Ghost the more I recieve other melodies which I use in prayer. There is no scripture for everything, yet there is wisdom foreverthing. For instance, there's no piano or keyboard in the bible, no microphone, no afrobeat, no makosa, no hipop, no Ballad beat but these things are used in church to worship the Lord. If the Lord ministers to anybody and says don't us keyboard to worship me, the person should not make it a doctrine. Paul in writing to Timothy specified what doctrines should be thought. To stay safe, only emphasize the things Scriptures emphazises and be quiet where the scripture is quiet. For now my spiritual life is far better with the chants than without the chants. Perhaps, if he is right, the Lord will also set another witness in my spirit about what he has said. Paul said if in anything else ye be otherwise minded I pray the Lord reveals it to you. For the issue of Channels, I will also say this, if the song has blessed you and has helped you worship God better, then don't be discouraged because satan cannot create anything that will improve on your spirit man. There are times while am praying and deep in the spirit i chant whatever that cones out from my mouth. Damina you cannot be know it all. You are not the christ to correct everybody. The wisdom of men is like a filthy rag to God
While there is nothing wrong with speaking in tongues, the whole chant of a thing is very worrisome. It has become a trend among gospel singers. And it now looks like everyone wants to speak in tongues while they sing. It's ok if it was inspired in the moment but when it looks planned into a song, I just wonder how the song was written. While I don't agree with Dr. Damina in some things he says, I agree with this. Christians sometimes can be emotional and get easily carried away into demonism unknowingly just because it came from someone they like.
You speak because you lack understanding of scriptures. If I quote scriptures for you, you won't value it but by the time you use 30mins to 1hr researching the scriptures, it will sink into your spirit when you find the answers. I really wish you would be here to get this response regarding your disposition on this particular Ebuka's song. It is hinged specifically on the scriptures (Luke 22:31-32). v31. And the Lord said, Simon, Simon, behold, Satan hath desired to have you, that he may sift you as wheat: (In interpretation, the sifted portion of wheat is useless. Meaning the devil wanted to make him useless... hence the lyrics, "satan will make mess of me") v32a. But I have prayed for thee, that thy faith fail not (this interpretes as the deliverance obtained via the place of Prayer... hence the lyrics,"I will pray"). The song in itself exemplifies the concluding part of v32b. (when thou art converted, strengthen thy brethren)... which serves to be an encouragement to everyone on the importance of prayer and how so much role it plays in the humans every-moment's life cycle of existence, warfare, victories, etc. In conclusion, i honestly don't consider the song as bad. I reckon it is out there to genuinely to be a charge.

You claim people really need to know the bible to avoid being emotional but you forget what the Bible says concerning the absence of prayer in the life of a believer. YOU really need to go back to the scriptures and go back to your prayer altar again and stop claiming Truth as Falsehood. How else do you wait on the Lord to renew strength if not in the place of prayer, study of the Word, fasting and meditation. Man is not made to sustain himself. He's a dependent creature that can only thrive on the grace of the Lord. So the song is coming from a place of revelation and probably experience.

What really is a chant? And how is it different from groanings that cannot be uttered with respect to a believer? Why are people taking pride in dividing Gods house? Is that how they intend to be rewarded in heaven? Oh goodness! May I never ever find pleasure in such levels of prideful teachings, attacks and condemnation. That is not how the Holy Spirit would correct His church. Pride is written all over this man these days. That alone is a major red flag.

does this man know what he is saying, voodoo and astral projection?...if paul calls his body a house and proverbs liken a man who has no control of his spirit to a city. we can metaphorical induce channels(paths) to our spirit....chanting is a age long spiritual practice, from the near eastern period to the levitical chants while they literally ascended the steps of the temple. that is why your psalm is called the songs of ascent, Jesus frowned at alot of things, if he didnt like chants, he would have condemned it or even the so called God of the old testament you try to isolate from Jesus doesnt condemn such practice. because its a song birth out intimacy and emotions, eg the old negro songs of slavery that once you hum people know what you are alluding to.this man just lacks balance to his teachings, the balance he would have brought is saying interpret your chants, not chants is demonic because you dont understand the cultural, spiritual concept of chanting
Can you show me biblically one instance where people just went aaaaaaayeeeee aaaaayeeee constantly as worship to God. One instance. Because all instances in the bible, people used words. You can't say others did that in their religion years ago so it is right.
For me, the scripture that i have read oo, i saw psalms, hymns, spiritual songs, making melodies in your heart. I also saw "singing in tongues" i think singing in tongue is better than chanting. My opinion.

To even think that this MONOSYLLABIC STUFF is even learnt at rehearsal...harmonized and produced in studios puts me in shock ..I ask myself...was this stuff made up...or" from the Spirit "if its of the spirit...how then was studio production done,parts harmonised???..because i have heard artists record tongues..and get singers to harmonize the tongues...that is RIDICULOUS. No naaa, the man didn't say sooo! He said, chanting. Singing in tongues and chanting are not the same. Singing in tongues is better compared to chanting. Baba, sing in tongues if you want to... i do, and i am edified. Most of the time, i get the interpretation afterwards.
@@HemmyMike to chant is to repeat or sing a word or phrase continuously. check what the Elders and Angels continuously did in Revelation 4:8-11. if that matches the definition of chant that tells you there is nothing wrong with both singing in tongues and chanting. False Prophet ! He is finished thats why he speaks against God's genuine servants. Channels are pathways through which we get access to a place, so anything that gives you access to God is a channel e.g meditating on God's word, singing and praying in tongues etc.
