Fantastic explore of this Corris slate mine with Milda and Lois, her first time in a slate mine. The slate veins in southern Meirionydd are totally different to the slate around my area, which are on a 45 degree angle of dip. Corris area has nearly vertical angle of slate which leads to dramatic deep chambers and massive drops. Hope you enjoy this video

The ghosts of miners past would not believe seeing red nail varnish down there. I take my hat off to the ladies for their curiosity and bravery. Great stuff ladies.

Amazing mine, the drops inside are jaw dropping, the camera doesn't show how deep they are.

Thanks👍 Im not too bad with the history of slate mines being from the largest slate mining town in UK. When I'm out alone I can remember more historic information, but when I'm with others I get distracted 🙈😂

Went on a tour there on Saturday with an awesome guide called Tim, the place is amazing some of the chambers were mind blowing.

@jamesjjbshotgun he is one of the guides that works at the mine, we got him by ourr luck, but he did say you can email them for tailored tours,can maybe request the guide too. Tim is a great guy, has huge experience in all things outdoors,good humor and lots of interesting stories to tell.
