ABH has NEVER disappointed me in the eyeshadow department! So happy that they updated there formulas and packages. Too faced and UD need to catch up with the times!
I agree, I used to love UD back in the days of Born this way and the Naked Cherry, the only two I bought but their more recent stuff has been disappointing. I was never into Too Faced palettes, although I do like their other stuff like blushes and highlights
That green/brown look is beautiful and it really makes your eye color pop! Its funny cuz the purple eye makes your eye color much darker and the green it looks much lighter!
I'm glad I waited to buy. Normally, I buy the second it's released for sale. I figured I'll wait til it hits Ulta to do swatches and if I like it I'll at least get Ulta points for it. Proud of myself for waiting for once, lol.
From what i have been seeing, the swatching issue was there in some dark shades in Cosmos. As long as it’s not impacting the payoff on the eye, i’m good
I bought mine last Friday, and I can’t wait for it to arrive. This is slightly giving ABH & Jackie Aina palette vibes. Which is my all time favorite palette color. I really miss the eye shadow palettes, I wish more brands were focusing on larger eyeshadow and blush palettes. Without multiple colors in one larger palette I become a creature of habit and just use the same quad, with the same four colors over and over again.
... There's dozens of brands releasing bigger eyeshadow palettes still? Mainstream and indie. There's plenty to buy outside of certain luxury brands who've never really done bigger palettes
@@exomake_mehorololo I do indeed lean more towards the lux brand palettes, as I like what I like, and $60+ is a bit of a risk to take on a palette from a brand that I’ve never used, and possibly ending up with a formula that I don’t like, or ashy, dusty, weak pigments, as I’m a dark skinned black woman, and already have to be careful what palette color stories and formulas I choose. They have to be highly pigmented and super buttery for my skin tone. With that being said, I have most definitely noticed a slow down on the release of eyeshadow palettes since before Covid from the brands that I frequent. Thanks…
I actually prefer a drier formula to matte shadows > the demo new abh eyeshadows reminds me of what MAC eyeshadows does, doesn't feel great but performs with brushes and blends. This is by far my favorite eye looks 😍
I just watched another review of this palette and it looked bad. The shadows didn’t preform at all. Then you come along and create two absolutely gorgeous looks🔥. Ten minutes ago I wasn’t even interested in the palette, now I’m putting it on my wish list! Well done 👏🏾! 💕
There are a lot of makeup reviewers who really don’t know a lot, who criticize the performance of a product when the issue is their lack of knowledge and skill. That being said, I can’t wait to get my hands on this palette! These colors are gorgeous and appear to all work together very beautifully.
The only abh palette that ever caught my eye was subculture(and now nouveau), but I never got to try it and people have complained profusely about it. The last one i bought was Jackie aina and that was only because i was a fan. Not a very good reason to buy a palette especially when i only liked 3 shades 🤦🏽♀️
The greens are so desaturated that they don't look green anymore. I usually love muted greens but they just look grey here. Or maybe it's the camera idk
Even though your eye looks are always gorgeous, I’m skipping this palette. I absolutely do not like the Cosmos palette (wish I had returned it), and I also regret the Rose Metals purchase. I’d like to avoid another purchase regret and stick to my no/low-buy for the remainder of the year.
Not interested in picking up this palette, but I’m excited to pull out my ABH Primrose palette this fall! I feel like it never got the hype it deserved

This palette reminds me a lot of the Lorac Mega Pro #1. I know a lot of people don’t have that palette anymore but I still do and it’s still performs fabulously

I am light skinned and loooove the grungy deep color story. I expected more burgundy tones, I was a little disappointed cause the outside is burgundy but the inside is predominantly green. Also as an indie shimmer lover, these don’t look that great. If I catch it at a more serious discount I might grab it, but tbh Cosmic Brushes muse has a similar but better color story and I have that one so maybe I should pass.
I went for the Tarte 2 holiday palettes (2022 & 2023) instead. I think I can make similar lewks w/ both. The 2022 has the burgundy & this year’s has some pops of green! I had a 20% code so it was a little easier on the wallet. It also is a little less deep than the ABH. I am fair olive complexion. I hv some indie palettes w/ similar colors also I think I can dupe the shiny special shades (that lavender), even ND Yucca for the greens, ABH Mod Ren for the Burgundy also. The gold shades are a dime a dozen. ND INaN might combine w yucca to make a kind of lewk like 1st lewk, 2nd lewk would make me look possibly unflattering i think unless I put a brown with the burgundy a lá ABH Mod Ren. It looks terrific on Morgan though! It’s tempting, but I am kind of skint rn so $55 is kind of out of the budget. Indie does it best anyways!! I got the Adept Samarian Sunset & I am enjoying that so much it was worth $82 every red ¢ent! If I had a spare $55 I would spend it on Gourmande Girls or Bellabeautebar but I was curious about this ABH, so I clicked so fast! Morgan your looks were beautiful! You are so talented. 🩷

Why do I seem like the only one that doesn't like the glitter/sparkling reflects/flakes in so many shadows these days? I just want pure mattes and foil/metal like shimmer.

I’m also light skinned and these shades are a little too rich for my older eyes, but you created some gorgeous looks, and they both made your eyes pop! Very pretty color story.
This is a really pretty palette! I just know it would be the type of thing I would buy, use 2 or 3 times when I first get it, and then never touch again..

Those dark matte shades swatch like those cream to matte shades from Natasha Denona. Not gonna lie, I don’t love that particular formula. I rarely use those shades in the ND palettes. I wish she would leave them out in the next release. Thanks for the review. Super helpful and informative. Your ability is top tier.

If you like this color story check out Cosmic Brushes Muse palette. Their formula is superior to ABH. You get a better curation of colors so easier for fair skin to create looks that are not all sultry. Their price is HALF of ABH.

I cannot do any eyeshadow look without fallout everywhere 😅 even when I'm careful. I absolutely must do my eyes first. I think I'm quite heavy handed lol. Even when I did hair I'd make a fricken mess. I just get into what I'm doing and my creative process is just messy I guess
I think the palette is stunning but unfortunately I just don’t like the ABH formula. It’s way too dry and the shimmers are just not glimmery or sparkly in the dramatic way that I prefer. Very dry and dull.
I knew with the new la6out, that it has a differen5 formula. I feel torn. I mean I am on a very low buy and solo sick because my immunodeficiency is bad. I hav3 Chron8c pain and about 10 illnesses. LOL😂. Been stuck at home for a month and still sick. 😊 This palette is beautiful but I feel the formula is one I would be disappointed.

I’ve been using Cosmos and there is one thing that makes it almost unusable. I’ll do a look and within minutes the shadow is literally all over my face. I’ve blue on my chin and all I’ve done today is sit on my couch. I hate it.
