Kshitij, IIT Kharagpur presents Mr. Abhas Mitra, an Indian astrophysicist best known for his groundbreaking research and findings on black holes and Big Bang Cosmology speaking on the research and the history associated with them.
He is a member of International Astronomical Union and has led the theoretical astrophysics section of Bhabha Atomic Research Centre, Mumbai as well. He has claimed that there are no true black holes and the so-called black holes are actually balls of ultra-magnetized fire plasma. His theory has been recognized by NASA, and he continues to work towards breaking paradoxes of the astrophysical world. His research has received widespread attention, especially in India, which is reflected by the fact that he is one of the most frequently mentioned Indian physicists on the web.
