Most SCs are converted Christians. Officially they claim to be Hindus to get reservations. All Andhra SC Ministers in Andhra are converted Christians. This fraud is going on for 70 years.

His point about Indians getting second hand info from the west & esp US, is unfortunately truer than most of us like to admit & it only betrays our laziness & lack of confidence in our own groundwork. This bonhomie that's going around on the social media towards Afghans will only manifest itself in an ugly way towards India, precisely like it did when Afghans invaded J&K in 1948 & when they hijacked IC814. Indians, it seems, educated or not, seem to be on emotional autopilot, no learning from history, no critical analysis, no foresight, and a deadly inability to differentiate friend from foe.
Do not Indians get second hand information from the west in everything, apart from our military and foreign politics intelligence, it is our history, our sociology, our tourism, our language, even our Sanskrit and Dharm (Indians from our universities prefer to study in American and European universities)?
@john doe You're right, we don't have Indian sources/scholarly material because we don't fund research properly if we fund at all, and at an individual level, we lack the commitment, since the analyses & research work is already available in the west, we consider it a "cheap & best" policy to our own detriment in the long run. The British ruled India not through the barrel of a gun, their bureaucrats, administrators, viceroys spent time in India studying the culture, languages, Vedas. In other words, they figured us out completely, they knew what makes us tick. You can't oppress someone & at the same time make them fight for you against oppression - we fought against the Nazis FOR the British while they had their boots on our necks. Now, that takes supreme manipulation, can't do these things without a deep understanding of the psyche of the target people. So, get into the field, get funded properly, quit relying on second hand material & foremost, figure out your target group's psyche. If we UNDERSTOOD Pak & China PROPERLY, we won't have 10percent of the problems we're having now. Sometimes I wonder, we don't even put in the effort to understand ourselves, is it true?

I am witness at least, to the casualties brought to Peshawar from Adjoining Jalalabad during the war for that city during post soviet/ Najeebullah era, there were not a single Pakistan army personnel injured but all of them across the board were Muhahideen. This was the only single hospital that fell on the way in Peshawar from Jalabad where all the mud plastered ambulances would enter with blaring sirens very next to my abode. Even then no one claimed or leveled allegation that it was Pakistan fighting Jalalabad. So that far=fetched idea one is not something one shall buy. That needed the record to be put straight so far as one has the knowledge in hand.

Has any one recalled the assassination of king Birendra and the forces behind it. Any one found out how maosim was thrust upon Nepalis after the kings death. Nepal is a Hindu majority country with divisive population pulling the country in different directions with least botheration of the progress of ordinary Nepalis. To put it in nut shell Pakistan with China is deeply interested in keeping the country in poverty, in perpetual political instability and internal feuds so that they can manipulate Nepal to act as a check on India. Successive Indian governments totally failed in its intelligence about two major things one King Birendras assassination and rise of maoism. If former could have been prevented the later would not have arisen. This same mistake was committed in case of Mujibur Rehman late prime minister of Bangladesh who was assassinated by pro Pakistan elements. India seems to score poor in terns of intelligence gathering when it comes to its neighbors. Being the big neighbor it should have its finger on every move of what happens in the neighbor hood. It should have taken help from CIA.

Abhijit has to leave aside his arrogance of more informed person than an average Hindus of India. Not everyone is that well read as Abhijit. Instead of lamenting the ignorance & incompetencies of average Hindus, he needs to educate people as there has been a lot of darkness over the last 200 years in India & people have become dizzy & oblivious.
It is very unpleasant to see a discussion where the guest participant uses abusive language for those who think differently from him. Might he not know that the language he uses, by itself, shows his worth, or the lack of it, to criticize those whom he abuses in their absence? He should also refrain from projecting his own shortcomings on others, such as opining that Indians get their world view only from the Western media. The majority of Indians have long since stopped doing that, or, perhaps, he is not clued in on the viewership of current indigenous local alternative media online that is far superior in coverage and independence of views as compared to the mainstream Indian or Western media.

As far as downing of Soviet planes those days were concerned, it only started happening when stinger was introduced into the game that changed the whole scenario. You don't know pushtoons as far as there marks man abilities are concerned. People who were trained to use stringer, proved to be 2 out 3 successful hits with stringers. And that was the reason that after the withdrawal of Russians that US launched buy back operation of the said missiles. It could be of interest that prior to employment of stingers, Afghan Mujahidee were just sitting duck as against Russian choppers as they would appear from no where right over the head of Mujahideen groups and hover over and wreak havoc to the mujahideen with impunity. For interests of the audience, I met one rag tag Afghan Mujahideen who downed skharow with his shoulder mounted stinger!!!!!!
