I've been listening to her perform at the local market night for years. I made all my friends stop, listen, and drop in cash whenever they visited. I always believed in her and always hoped she would make it. She would sing her HEART OUT to 12-50 people week after week.

@@tawnyrobinson3930they've clapped a few times. There's auditions from 2019,2021,2022 online on American idols RU-vid page from auditions where the crew clapped and shown on the video clapping. So unless those auditions from a few years ago were taped after this and somehow went in a time machine to upload them then you are correct. If no time machine was in play here then you are wrong.

That's because Billie was trying to sing it in a very breathy, fragile falsetto. She did this to serve the emotional resonance needed for that climactic part of the movie. This AI version is nice, but would not have worked in the movie.

I keep coming back to this audition (more like a stage performance!). I listened to the original, and Billie Eilish does an amazing job. Abi did a GREAT job picking a BEAUTIFUL tune to audition, and making it her own elevating her tone in the song and melting the judges and America with her performance 😉

I said it rivals the original meaning it gives Billie's a good run for her $$ although I def think Billies (the original) is a clear winner! Not to mention she & Finneas wrote every lyric & note! Billie might not always belt it out & carry on (which is beautiful) but her unique style is not only sheer PERFECTION, but also can't be duplicated or even matched. Billie can sing the same song several different ways, a new way every performance & every one as good as the last. She has a helluva gift I would never begin to pretend any1 could do it better.. only saying Abi Carter def did it justice to say the least! (Sorry 4 the paragraph lol) 😅

Me, too! I've listened to this audition dozens of times and even though I love Billie Eilish's version, I love Abi's more! (Billy's is perfect! But so is Abi's! It's crazy!) Abi just LOVES to sing. In that respect, she's just like her mother. Her mom gave up her own singing career to have seven wonderful children. I think it was worth it!
