This song is dedicated to the fallen heroes in Anuet Massacre. Currently, the song is used in remembrance of late young brothers and elderly ones killed in cold blood on their land through an organized attack. In memory of late Machola Ayen Keth, Akuei Jok Akuei, Mayom Khoor Kuereng, Pastor Yar Deng Aheu, Jok Panchol Malual, Angeth Mach Achuoth, Ayuen Deng Lueth, Aguto Ajak Aguto, Ajak Manyok Kur, Garang Ayuen Ghai, Matiop Mading Leer, Jok Majok Jokngol, Jok-manyuel Malual Jok, Jok-makalip Malual Jok, Chol Ghai Nyadier, Deng Achiek Deng, Gajok Nyanajok Achop, Akech Aguto Chol and Bior Abuol Bior, killed in the past three simultaneous attacks in Anuet village.
Besides, the spillover of the conflicts into towns and through armed ambushes or targeted killings out of the battlefield led to the lost of the following persons; Mading Mabior Arem aka Mading Yach, Agungdhorthii Bol Agungdhor, Manyang Nhial Aguto and many others.
We will live to remember you for the unconditional sacrifices to save the vulnerable population. It was an organized crime aimed at eliminating panuet descendants but supreme being/God did not permit it to the expectations of an enemy. You brothers fought in self-defense though it took away your dear souls. We will not give it up, even if it needs our souls.
