Decided to make the trip to Abilene again to record this Federal Signal 500 SHTT running full attack signal and needless to say it was quite loud also in this video you can hear a model 7t running a couple cycles of attack. Also please do not use any of my videos without asking thank you. And please do not flag my videos as they do not contain any inappropriate content thank you.

Damn things are lifesavers! Was taking soil samples in Kansas cornfield with my AirPods on. Could just hear the siren over the music, ran like hell, and sheltered with a farmer.

I love how loud it gets when it points at you. I bet this was recorded when there was a lot of enthusiasts there from CA, OH, and maybe MO and KS

There are some pretty unique sounding sirens across the globe. I would've gone and gotten another one from Abilene today but it is super windy out so it wouldn't have been a very good video.

I wish I lived there but unfortunately I do not live in Abilene Kansas I live about 30 miles to the west and 5 miles north from this siren unit I just drive back and forth to this siren from time to time or just when I have the time to record this siren.

I think that might have been because I was holding the camera a bit sideways because not only did I manage to catch the test on time but it was also a bit windy as well.

Yeah it was hard trying to keep the camera straight and level but one thing I do know about these old 500's is that in high wind situations they don't rotate at all during high winds.
