The ABKC categorizes dogs into several classes based on age and size. Here’s a quick overview:
Pre-Novice (3-6 months): A starting point for the youngest competitors, although no points are awarded in this class.
Novice Puppy (6-9 months)
Puppy (9-12 months)
Junior (1-2 years): At this stage, dogs are further categorized into varieties.
Adult (2-3 years)
Senior (3 years and up)
The varieties within these classes are:
Pocket: The smallest of the Bully breeds, with a compact build.
Standard: The classic American Bully, balanced and well-proportioned.
XL: A larger and more powerful version of the Standard.
Classic: Similar to the Standard but with a lighter frame and less muscle mass.
