RU-vid allows the abuse of infant primates on the platform They should ban this abuse by "content creators"....but tey don't SO..... PLEASE DON'T ENGAGE WITH PEOPLE..... Who steal infant primates and dress them in clothing and force them into contact with dogs, cats chickens etc. Do NOT engage with this content. Even voting this content DOWN pushes it UP in the algorithm. Just ignore these videos that EXPLOIT infant primates. PLEASE.

9:25 is a prime example of why you don't see bigger monkeys on all those "cute" monkey channels. They tend to have 1-3 monkeys at a time of varying ages because they know they won't be keeping them past a certain age. Once its not cute and easy to dress up and control they are dumped or killed. Its a cycle of constantly getting new babies as the oldest lose their value to them. Of course the channels are never honest about it and will not acknowledge it and if they do explain what happened to the oldest they say "died of illness/accident" or "went to sanctuary". There is nothing cute about a stressed out baby being put in stupid outfits and teased for responses. They feed them watered down milk (that's probably an attempt to keep them as small/skinny as possible for longer). They live in cages when they're not filming. It's depressing and these people make a living ripping babies from their mothers just to treat them as a disposable toy. I appreciate your video explaining the effects of the truama they endure. Great video on a tough topic.

Yes very true. Sadly it's hard to stop this. It's up to YT in the end. Like even with reporting channels they always come back with another name and YT happily pay money to them. It's horrible that YT can't make a stand against this. And all these rescue videos are so fake like monkeys almost never abandon their babies. And oddly enough these abandon babies are always found with no monkey troop to be seen within miles. That never happens. IF a baby was abandon you would at least spot a troop relative near.

They insist on anthropomorphizing infant monkeys. When I saw those “discipline” videos I would have laughed it if wasn’t so pathetic. Video after video of some woman squawking at a monkey, scaring the crap out of it (literally) while assuming the monkey cares what the human wants. Monkeys have no reason to care about human issues…esp. “discipline”! This attitude toward monkeys is unfathomably selfish. These people would do much better with robots.

People that put clothes on their pets, whether they’re monkeys, dogs or cats should be taken to a mental asylum for testing. Only time i think clothes on animals is cute is cartoons, drawings, video games... outside of that, no. Though, where i live we can have harsh weather in the winter. Some people do put booties on their dogs to help their feet from getting too cold. Particularly for smaller dogs as they tend to get cold really quickly. I see no harm in that as it's just to take them out to go relieve themselves and has a purpose.

About 2 weeks ago I stumbled across a random reel on IG that was a little clip like this. I had no idea there was basically a whole genre of monkey content. I was immediately hooked and before I knew it I could recognize “Libby”, Rainbow and now Leo, just to name an example. @@LittleGhost1979 thank you for that, I really appreciate it. It is a bit overwhelming. I just discovered the situation with one of the VO’s that possibly owned some of them as pets and he abandoned them so he goes out there to record footage of him feeding them, even holding Libby! It made me sick because he has “fans” who donate money to him because they think he’s out there saving monkeys or something idk. I’m sure I have some of that wrong but I just started going down that rabbit hole yesterday. I had to stop watching when I saw comments about how he actually put Libby or rainbow in a cage sometimes or something like that but all of that was a year ago. They said he calls himself “Dawn’s daddy”. He isn’t posting new content on that channel anymore but I imagine he’s still doing the same thing. He’s probably hiding who he is on a different channel because so many people were being very verbal about the truth. I’m surprised he didn’t turn his comments off! If you have been doing this for four years I’m sure you know exactly what I’m talking about. It’s a lot to discover all at once, you know. Especially when you add the language barrier to it. There’s an account I follow on IG and the option to translate her replies back to me isn’t always available. I’m not sure why but I’ve seen other people mention it.

I do understand that they probably did something to her before they started recording. However, when there is no longer a threat, macaques usually back down, they don't continue to be agitated and aggressive. They'll actually try to make peace, lip smack and or groom. They do this fairly quickly. It's the continence of that behavior when the threat or provoking has stopped that is so abnormal. For whatever the reason may be. Pain can certainly be a risk factor of abnormal behavior along with being captive, along with the abuse. The more the risk factors the more severe the abnormal behaviors become. Shally is one of the most severe cases I've seen floating around on this platform and that is why she was demonstrated so much. I may not know everything about her.... I only looked at a few videos to observe her behavior. I avoid pet channels like the plaque. There was one video i think they were hitting her before they started recording. Knowing behavior, when a macaque is being attacked and in submission, they'll lay on the ground or floor protecting their abdomen and do very little moving. She was doing this as the video was starting and giving calls that are usually observed in macaques that cry out to troop members for help. That's not an abnormal behavior but explaining this because i am aware they do things before they start the cameras. So yes, i agree there was something that was happening before the camera was on that triggered or provoked her to be aggressive. But when the threat is gone, she should have stopped and made peace.. She eventually did make peaceful behaviors in this video that I got the clips from. But it took several minutes before she did which with no threat or provoking, that is abnormal.

Dalton at 6:52 and Princess Shally at 8:23, Monkey Kaka at 16:20. That looks like Rozi's baby at 11:02. Apparently she kills her hybrid babies.I think that's Candy or Baby Monkey Rosa at 13:17. She was cruelly treated as a baby monkey and then dumped in the forest. She was young enough to have been accepted by the troop but her behaviors were so bizarre that she was eventually killed by a troop member. Libby ( not shown in this video ) over grooms other monkeys but thankfully, she has been accepted into her troop, raised a healthy, independent baby ( not without interference from humans) and is living a more healthy lifestyle. I am most disturbed by the ongoing abuse of Monkey Dalton, Bella, and Yen. Also, of Monkey Elly. I believe she died in captivity. Her owner has refused to explain what happened to her.

That’s dawn, not candy. But candy also did the grasping at her chest thing. Rozy doesn’t kill het hybrid babies. She only birthed one. And yes she rejected it. It’s very possible the baby was sick, wild animals, even domesticated animals, reject sick babies. Even a house cat, will move all her kittens, and leave the sick one behind, to prevent it from getting the others sick. Also, the VOs should have never touched that baby. They took it away for a whole day, then tried to give it back. These hybrids of longtails/pigtails are new, and exclusive to the temples in Cambodia. In the wild, they would never interact with each other. Pigtails live in the mountains, while longtails live by the shorelines. So it’s also possible that she was very confused by this baby. The only other hybrid that Rozy gave birth to, was a stillborn.

@@Ladylifelearner absolutely. They play off the monkeys natural behaviors. They know monkeys are food aggressive, so they feed certain ones first to start a fight. Even the food they choose to feed, is manipulation. They feed mangos, grapes, and bananas, all high in sugar. Even zoos and sanctuary don’t feed them this. And if they do, it’s as a treat and in moderation. The high sugar makes them hyper and aggressive. When they have a sugar crash, they are lethargic and irritable. Even though it’s cheaper to by veggies than fruit, and even though the veggies would actually be beneficial, they choose to feed fruit for the content. Monkeys are actually very boring. They literally walk around foraging, then take a nap. Repeat. National Geographic spends anywhere from 1-2 years filming, just to get footage of things like fights naturally.

The worst part of all of this is the owners/VOs know these monkeys well enough to know what they are doing to these animals and use it to entertain themselves and others. That’s evil IMO. I have owned horses and bought one that was a Stall Walker. Meaning he weaved back and forth just like one of these monkeys. I knew that was abnormal and began working on improving that horses mental health. I no longer put him in a stall unless it was feeding time and many other positive reinforcements. He never got over it but he was able to live a more normal life.

It's very instructive to see how many of these abnormal behaviours are present in the monkeys released 'into the wild' at temple sites, etc. They are more or less permanently affected by the maternal deprivation they suffered, their inability to form connections with other similarly-raised and released monkeys, and their probable abuse at the hands of their 'owners' when they were still babies. The fact that they are no longer captives is too late for them to be 'normal' ever again. I'm glad you also stressed the monkeys' need not only for mothers, but also for socialisation. One of the reasons monkeys are NOT suitable 'pets' is that most owners only want to keep one or two of them. They can't keep a whole troop, no matter how tenderhearted and well-meaning they are. So the monkeys are deprived of socialisation with their own kind, no matter how much good food, tender care and cuddles they receive from their human owners. It just doesn't work.

9:40 is actually manipulation (look at the eye contact; eye contact is supplicated or is not made at all in amaternal retardation). With boredom, watch especially for violent grooming. Lack of mating can cause high rates of kidnapping and abuse of infants, as can spaying of females. I don't know if the attacked monkey was **attacked** as much as warned or picked on; attacks, even between monkeys of the same age, are pretty obvious! 13:20 is not at all a bad response (nor is the accelerated heartbeat), though clasping can be bad in other contexts. 14:45 bizarre posture is based on stick training. 15:30 Oral stimulation occurs in 100% of cases of captivity. 18:20 Aggressive scratching can occur in cases of brain swelling or damage. FLS can happen when macaques are chained to the ground by a collar for long periods. 19:00 is an infant using a toe as a nipple and is not indicating anything more than amaternal retardation. 19:15 does, however, indicate harmful behavior. This monkey was chained until insanity set in. 20:00 is infantile regression to nipple comfort in the presence of a dominant acquaintance in captivity.

this was so sad but hit the nail right on the head with the " sanctuary" setting of AW. you see these behaviors in the so called "wild" monkeys that used to be pets and now their own offspring.. i don't think there is one in those groups that doesn't display some or all of those behaviors and its all because of human interference. i have seen some of the moms foraging more lately though and when they do their babies do too, but there is one baby in particular that has most if not all of these symptoms and it is supposedly wild. i hope we can get these channels that get paid to shut down soon. there should be some sort of repercussion for treating wild animals the way they do just to make money. its a sad thing that they know what causes them stress induced behaviors and they exploit it very good information here, now waiting patiently for more. thank you for the time and effort you put into it.

The harsh is that YT, and the parent company Google simply do not listen at all.

I was once transfixed by people parenting monkeys in the wild. I have researched and researched and find this is funded by people who have an interest in cruelty to these precious babies. Hurts too much to continue watching.. I bow OUT.

❤ I’m so glad that I found your channel in my feed. Your continued production of such excellent content is informative and you are supplying invaluable information. 🙏❤️ I simply am amazed now, as I follow these VOs channels and their constant “headers” of abuse by the mothers….neglect and harm they are supposedly inflicting on their babies! ANY given day that I go to the YMCA outdoor pool, I see the EXACT same display of behaviors by human mothers and their babies and toddlers! Often the children are stressed and irritable, as is the mom. They are tired or hungry and the moms grab their arms and PULL them along on the cement…. Sometimes a few toddlers in tow! Some children are crying and others screaming as they stop in their tracts and plop down on the cement and roll around. In search of attention the children continue to act out. The mothers often ignore the child as they walk up further ahead. The child continues to jump around or let out high pitched vocal choices awaiting attention from mom. When they see that this behavior no longer gets the result they want, they gather themselves up and run to their moms leg and grab it. Frequently, the mother is holding several items in her arms including a beach bag full of toddler necessities, lunch from McDonalds and often a baby in their arms. The toddler has grabbed onto the moms leg as together, the family continues to maneuver their way into the baby pool section. THIS is any typical morning! I ask these VOs is this human abuse or just a “normal” day at the pool? It was NORMAL in my life 30 years ago!! Much love to all on this channel. My God shine light and love on all his creatures!❤🙏

Thank you so much for the time, detail and commitment you put into these informative videos. I had just about lost hope that anyone really cared about these innocent little animals and would try to do something to raise awareness of their suffering. I have been called a "Karen" and worse for calling out abusive channels and their sadistic supporters. Thank you again for your hard work and your caring. Subscribed!

It’s so good watching the baby get back at its captor. Shows no one should steal babies and dress them up like clowns. They only want money and have no idea about what monkeys are. They should be charged with animal abuse. I agree totally with you and will always support you. ❤❤❤

11:18 - the mother of this baby was never captive. People kept saying she killed the baby because it was a hybrid. I wish I knew a definite answer

She's not truly wild either. I'd call her free roaming. There's too much human interference.

This is an informative and well produced video; thank you for posting it! I have been interested in learning about macaque behavior, both normal and abnormal. However, I have had little success in locating correct information. Instead, there are what seems to be thousands of macaque exploitation channels. The people who are in the field and collecting the video footage interfere with the monkeys to some degree, from fairly benign to direct malicious manipulation that is designed to provoke violent conflict amongst the troop members. I cannot learn anything from these channels. Right now, I am in the process of absorbing the contents of every video on your channel, as fast as I can. Naturally, I am also subscribed. I see that I have used entirely too many words to say that your channel exhibits a lot of great content and correct information! Additionally, I will appeal to you to recommend any books (yes, actual books!) that will educate me about macaque behavior. Finally, I hope that in a future video, you might consider going into more detail on the topic of FLS. A while back, I stumbled upon a video that featured a macaque afflicted with what I now realize is FLS. However, this poor creature was exhibiting symptom that are magnitudes more bizarre, intense, and disturbing than what I saw here. Thank you again for posting this awesome video!
