During the singing of the Wardilba song cycle on the last night, the initiated young men, now known as 'nuju', have been prepared to be reunited with their families. On the previous day children in the meeting camp will have collected containers of bark chips ready to be thrown at the approaching singers surrounding the nuju. This ceremony adds humour and releases tension after weeks of anticipation. After throwing the bark the older boys are allowed to run in behind the nuju and singers, ready for the final stage of the ceremonies. This video made by Dr Bill Day at Cane River in January 2003 for the Banyjima, Innawonga and Nyiyaparli people.
