This is my first time ever hearing Dimash and all I can say is holy crap! "Do you wanna maybe breathe, my guy?" Yeah, I'm with you there, DJ. Between his range and his lung capacity, he's absolutely astounding.

Dimash chooses to be independent of the commercial music industry. His family has their own production company a d contracts out for other crew like dancers and production people. But he is in charge of his creative direction and anything he puts out. Considering this...its amazing how big hes gotten without signing his soul away. He is a hard working studied musical genius. Born for the stage. Not to mention one of the finest most down to earth humans on the planet. He has a very close relationship with his fans, who he calls his Dears. They have become the largest organized fan club world wide in just 7 yrs. They travel the world over to see him in concert. All ages and types. He is already considered a music legend. He stand 6'3" and can swim underwater the length of an olimpic swimming pool. He loves sports, studied TaeKwando, pllays soccer and lives a clean existence free of alcohol, drugs, smoke or wild womanizing. He has values and is deeply spiritual. He reads the poets and is a deep thinker. He respects the wisdom of his elders and gives due respect to his cultural ancestors. Hes also a cut up and lots of fun. His physical beauty and grace belie his inner strength and masculine energy. Grounded and fearless...yet humble and knows his limits. Always willing to learn ...as well as to teach. He is currantly working on his Doctorate in music. How he manages all he does is amazing. Hes innovative and although offered a place in the Astana Opera...chooses to explore other genres and styles. He composes and plays various instruments. Music literally runs through his veins. Its not about fame...its about connecting with people and giving them an experience they can journey with him. Its about introducing his country and beautiful artistic cutlure to the world. And bringing cultures together in peace through music. No matter the type of song he sings...one always feels uplifted and positive....and in utter awe after seeing him. He loves what he does and always gives 100%. I cant tell you how much he has enriched my life and helped give me the strength to maintain hope for humanity.

I love his versatility far more than his vocal acrobatics, this is a man who never stops studying music and moving in new directions. He constantly proves that there's nothing he can't do. In the last couple of months he's gone from performing a full operatic duet with one of the world's greatest operatic tenors Maestro Placido Domingo in The Pearl Fishers Duet to releasing a blues/rock song called When I've Got You complete with a vampire themed music video. He's always got something new and exciting up his sleeve, it's never boring being a Dear.

He is so awesome, isn’t he? Stranger is one of my absolute favorite songs. I get goosebumps every time I hear it. I’m a real fan of movies that have such a mystical or oriental atmosphere. And it was such a great idea by Dimash to use the Qobyz for that. The Qobyz is a very old two stringed Kazakh folk instrument and it’s wide spread among Kazakhs. The man who often is playing the kobyz in Dimash’s performance (also here in Stranger) is the best on this instrument and a good friend of Dimash. His name is Olzhas Qurmanbek. You often can hear this instrument when Dimash sings in his native tongue like Samaltau, Qairan Elim or Òmir Òter. As a Kazakh he speaks Kazakh and Russian fluently. He sang Stranger for the first time at New Wave in Sochi, Russia in 2021. This is an international competition for young artists, founded in 2002 by Igor Krutoy. Dimash sang here as a guest and was also a member of the jury. Igor Krutoy, like so many other masterpieces, wrote this song specifically for Dimash and his incredible vocal range (in this song alone he sings 5 octaves F1-F6 I think). And the last note he held for 20 seconds. The way he switchs so affortlessly between the different registers and octaves in one song is so mesmerizing and unbelievable. Stranger was written by the famous Russian/Ukrainian composer, producer and songwriter Igor Krutoy. His and Dimash's collaboration created true masterpieces. He writes songs that only Dimash could sing with his vocal range, such as Olimpico, Stranger or Ave Maria. You’ll often see him accompanying Dimash on the piano. If Igor Krutoy is there, the song was also written by him.The two have no contract. Their cooperation is based more on mutual trust. It’s more like a father/son relationship. He wrote this song and others especially for Dimash’s wide vocal range. Please react to Olimpico from his Arnau concert in 2019 next. In this song he sings in Italian. You can find it on Igor Krutoy‘s Channel. Olimpico is another masterpiece that Igor Krutoy wrote especially for Dimash’s vocal skills. Kobyz...ko beyiz, ancient violin forerunner from turkic and baltics, and of course Kazakhstan, and is a sharman's ceremonial and healing instrument, one piece of wood with a goatskin covered chamber and horsehair strings and bow. Russians by culture and nature do not show much excitement, but they are learning. New Wave is an annual competition held in Sochi, Russia, and now Dimash gets to join the judging panel and to sing in the concert that seems to go with it. Igor Krutoy, the pianist there composed it, I think, as he is a very famous Russian multi-billionaire composer, pianist, concert and star producer, who also is involved in the New Wave Concerts. Dimash has sung many of his songs now, and they are all exceptional. He came out of semi retirement to work with Dimash when possible.

That's a Kobyz, or Qobyz played by the talented Olzhas Qurmanbek, a Kazakh native like Dimash. Stranger does get blocked a lot so filters are necessary. Dimash definitely puts on an incredible show. New Wave is a competition show for young singers/performers in Sochi, Russia. Igor Krutoy, the man on the piano is one of the founding members. Don't worry, no one was competing against Dimash here, he was a guest performer and Stranger was premiered here. Igor Krutoy wrote the music and Sharon Vaughn wrote the lyrics, but it was Dimash's idea to add the Qobyz.
