May i ask if you think it would have been possible to stay as a nun, and also go to the west and continue to fulfill all your dreams and goals. In the same way you did in Spain in the caves. If yes, why did you not chose this path? Do you see value in keeping on with monastic precepts, especially now when you might be more settled in the community. Also may I ask if some people wanted to ordain as a nun or monk in your community would they be able to? I definitely understand the need to keep challenging oneself, and I also think it's a very natural thing as a westerner to eventually want to come back to the west to teach what one has learned. As we have a lot of insight and compassion for the suffering of the culture we grew up in. We see there is a great need, and of course not yet that many very experienced teachers and communities/monasteries/centers.. Thank you for all your discipline, honesty, generosity in teaching. May we all reach the final goal. Sadhu sadhu sadhu
Hello, yes, I lived for several years as a nun in the west and liked it very much. For more on why I disrobed you can see the "about me" video on my webpage. Our community in Spain welcomes monastics though we do not perform ordinations. Hope that helps :-)
Hey Beth, I came across your videos on RU-vid. I find it very helpful and fascinating. Thank you very much. What are you up to those days? If I have meditation questions, I want to have a teacher who someone who could guide me, can I reach out to you? Its okay to say no. Warm wishes.
In my opinion its better to renounce worldly life and ordain as Bhikshu or Bhikshuni when you disrobe use this opportunity for your own practice not for teaching, there are lot of teacher available all over the deeper understanding of mine is when we are attached to anything it will create a Dukkha so it's better to avoid or stay in monastery as a lay person. Sorry for my bad English-speaking 🙏🙏🙏
