Well I answered why I chose India for college in the video. When it comes to the first part of your question, I don’t see myself as an NRI because I’ve lived in India for a long time, I see myself more as a Third Culture Kid. And probably because of it I didn’t have a hard time adjusting, because I’ve been adjusting my whole life I find I can do it without much difficulties. People are the same everywhere, I guess it was the physical aspect of the heat, lack of air conditioning, oily food, and lack of proper public transport where I lived that were the biggest difficulties. I overcame them by accepting it as my reality, eating out, and learning to roam about alone (safely and with precautions!) Sometimes that’s the best we can do 🤷🏾‍♀️

Money is an important factor, but I guess my values (?), my idea of the type of life I want to live was more important. I am thankful that I was able to follow my dreams in that sense

@@medkiddiaries9332 there's not much you can do as a non-surgeon.. ultimately resection is the definite management.. chemo is also decided by the surgeon before resecting out.. also , If u are interested in oncology, Pathology is also a good option apart from surgery

@@medkiddiaries9332 General surgery or Orthopedics are the branches that can lead you to surgical oncology residency (Mch). There's nothing much you can do as a medical oncologist as the surgeon prescribes the drugs too, think over it and choose the specialty
