Thank you. I finally learned what my little chicken is called. She is white with a red cone and tiny black spots. Our local Tractor Supply had some left over chick's left in the storage that were offered to me when I purchased some RIR hens. I LOVE MY POPPY. SHE IS STRONG ,SMART, AND DOES WHAT SHE PLEASES. I raised her with four big hens, but she would separate herself every way that she could except at night she slept between them to stay warm.😊Thank you for your video .
I just got a small set of seramas. I've been wanting my own chickens for while now and these were available for 15$ each. I got three hens and one rooster. They are already grown up. Less than a year old. Maybe it's because I didn't raise them and they are in a new environment but they are very skiddish and flighty. I've never seen a chicken be able to fly like these. I had one get loose on me yesterday when opened the hutch door to feed them. They are very fast and agile. I thought I had lost one of my hens but it returned to the coop late evening and I got her back in. I'm a a newb when it comes to chickens. Will there behavior change as they adjust to the new environment or will they always be like this? Any tips or help on this matter would be appreciated. Thanks from East Tennessee.
Are the hens really noisy and loud? I live in the city and my zoning area outlaws chickens :/ I want a breed that’s small and isn’t noisy and very quiet.
