Relive some of the magic of the MCG. Glimpse the past and discover how the mighty venue operates today, as we display this iconic sporting venue's diversity and its world-class features.
Despite being non-Aussie, I have great attachment to Melbourne and the mighty MCG. It's the greatest sports venue on Earth, with plenty of history ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Been there dozens of times. Seen 4 grand finals there and a bunch of test matches and one dayers. There is nothing so awe inspiring then the electricity of a cheering crowd of a full MCG. It's the greatest experience of awe that a human being can experience.
I was fortunate enough to visit the ground two years ago I am thankful for that next year I want visit lords I am ardent fan of cricket I name my son Gavasgar after great cricketer of India
@@samarpreet605 Indians bashing Indians to impress their white masters. Low caste usually. That makes me ashamed to be an Indian so I start telling ppl my state name and my caste
@@damayantibag5051 MCG is the greatest cricket arena ever. Just look at the structure and it's field . Just awesome. Lord's might be historic in terms of home of cricket but Lord's is a 3rd grade stadium with a Slope on it's field. McG is the modern giant. But I hope you guys know that India is building Moteta Stadium in Gujarat which will have a seating capacity of 1,20,000 and will host final of 2023 worldcup. It will be one of the biggest arenas in the world . And it will hopefully be better then MCG
@@jovian304 I think Lara's 153 is the 2nd best ever along with Bradman's 299*. Bradman has many match winning crazy mammoth scores, his 270, 299, 254, 334 etc. Lara also is the same he has knocks like 213, 375, 400, 153 etc. Both had the common habit of scoring huge runs after scoring a 100. Also remember, VVS Laxman's 281, Ian Botham's 149, Adam Gilchrist's 149, these all were just as great.
Well you guys did injustice to mcg history by not put the story of 1992 and 2015 cricket wc finals both played at mcg respectively... I hope one day I will visit mcg to cheer my favorite game of cricket ❤️
@@anamikapalbrahma9522 Actually most sport and attendance there is Australian football. Even half the Sheffield Shield games get moved, including the Sheffield Shield final.
It is a Cricket ground and only cricket should be played . Shitty leagues like AFL and Rugby should be played somewhere else. Bcz drop in pitch is used instead of original pitch & this kills the game . This is how India won a test match last summer
I don't want to hate but I think this is a cricket ground and it has history alongside it. I mean you can do it whatever you want but MCG play a crucial role in Cricket overall history so can you not play other thing somewhere else..
This ground was supposed to be for Cricket, hence named Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG). The stupid footy and other sports have ruined the value of Cricket being played in the MCG. The drop-in pitches have demeaned the classical test cricket played in it. I don't know why Straya is allowing that?
@@patjamesdan wdym? Cricket is played at the mcg what3-4 times a year? Thats not gonna keep the stadium alive plus its a shit stadium for cricket the pitch is shit. Footy keeps the stadium alive footy is the only reason why cricket is still around in Australia

@@mdnayeemahmed9027 sorry to break it to you but legacy in indian hockey strong af. IHF assassinated it 40 years ago but still in 2019 there is no one to match it. Aus isn't even best statistically, it is india considering all icc tournaments. Aus is just ahead in mens wc.
