About Time is a super sweet movie. :) I also love anything to do with time travel, but I feel like this movie is more about family and loving relationships that just happens to have time travel included in it. When I first saw this movie, I found myself comparing it to another movie Rachel McAdams did a few years before it called The Time Traveler's Wife, in which she played the wife of a man who can travel through time. Lol. Her being in both is about the only thing these two movies have in common. The Time Traveler's Wife is an American movie based on a book by the same name (whereas About Time was an original screenplay), and it's really good. It will also bring a few tears to your eyes, but the British do tear-jerkers better, imho. I saw The Time Traveler's Wife first, and then saw this one when it came out a few years later, and both are worth watching but for very different reasons. I would highly recommend you check out the other movie and hurt your head a little bit more on time traveling. X) My dad passed away last year, so watching this reaction did make me a little sad because it's the first time I've revisited About Time since he died. If I could time travel, I could save his life and maybe he'd still be here today. I miss him, but I'm female and cannot time travel, so I will just have to keep on living without him. I can't complain too much; I had him for 52 years (my whole life up until that point). It was a good run. I enjoyed your reaction! Glad you can appreciate this movie's message. Let's enjoy our days when we live them the first time around.
