That’s so funny - I watched one of your videos* and thought to myself, “oh I wonder if they’re married? I hope they’re married!”, because of how you seemed to complement each other with your different strengths, and had an obvious close bond with the way you communicate (plus you totally look like a cute couple in a lot of your video thumbnails!)... I was briefly disappointed to find out in this video that you’re not a couple, but then you went on to talk about you’re basically each other’s wife, so I’m going to count this as a win for my prediction! 😄 * here from Gabbie Hanna’s kitchen video, who I found through her room makeover videos, and now I’ve come back around full circle to one of my “first loves” on RU-vid: organising! 🤗 I moved into a brand new flat at the very end of 2019, then all my big plans for epic decluttering/organising/decorating of my small blank slate modern flat were scuppered due to lockdown! I managed to do one hefty round of decluttering late last summer when things opened up again (I’m in the UK), and I got rid of a lot of clothes and old books, but there’s SO much more to go. It would have been better to do this decluttering *before* moving house, instead of bringing it all with me... but turns out buying a house is time consuming and stressful, so everything else had to wait! 😂 I have ADHD, so I struggle both with getting started on things I know I need (and want!) to do, AND struggle with finishing things off (yes, I have a lot of problems 😆), plus I struggle with the practicalities of getting rid of things in a responsible way - I’m not just going to throw something into landfill if I don’t want it anymore, but listing things to sell or arranging to give away locally takes a lot of executive function and planning, plus I don’t have a car to go drop things off at either charity shops or recycling centres, so I have a perpetual backlog. Due to all of this, I’ve inadvertently accumulated so much *stuff* over time - I feel like an aspirational minimalist trapped in the body of an accidental hoarder 🤣 It’s almost never due to a sense of attachment to stuff and not wanting to get rid of it, but often not knowing HOW to get rid of it, or not having both the mental and physical resources lined up at the same time. Also, I don’t know if you’re familiar with Cas the Clutterbug here on RU-vid (but if you’re not, you should definitely check her out because she’s ace), but I have strong “cricket” perfectionist tendencies - if I don’t have the time/resources/etc to do something really properly and completely and perfectly (oh hi, from your channel name maybe I’m in the right place 😁), part of me thinks it’s not worth tackling at all, so I end up with piles of stuff here and there, waiting for me to sort them “properly” into a full system, instead of making incremental improvements here and there when I can. All of this, combined with various lockdowns (our “non-essential retail” is opening up next week, so I should be able to donate things to charity shops again!), has left my flat in a pretty sorry state, and I could definitely use all the organising tips and motivation I can get 😊 I’ve accidentally told you my life story, when I really just meant to come here and comment on your “marriage status” ☺️ so I’m absolutely going to stop typing now and get back to watching (and subscribing 🙂)

Love you both! I’ve been binging organizing videos recently & you guys are at the top of my list :-) Thanks for the instructional & inspirational help. I’m particularly interested in ideas for the small space my daughter & I share. We’ve been de cluttering & organizing slowly as I’m disabled. It can feel overwhelming. Please keep the videos coming, we need you!

Hi Marina, we're so glad that you found us! We definitely understand the organization fatigue, we get it when organizing our own spaces as well! We'll certainly keep videos coming, and feel free to send us over any questions. You can also check out our blog for more tips, if you find them helpful: practicallyperfectla.com/blog/

Not trying to pit anyone against each other but I’ve always liked you guys more than the home edit (they’re too valley girl and catty at times). In fact I knew of you guys before I even heard of them because of Safiya’s video. I love how you guys are really genuine and respectful of each other and your clients. You most definitely deserve your own show but I also like how you guys are the underrated underdogs. I wish you could do more lengthy videos of the process with your clients. I’ve always loved organizing since I was a kid but only recently became quite good at it since discovering minimalism from Fumio Sasaki, Marie Kondo, and your folks channel. I would love to do this for a job but would have no idea where to get started and would be really intimidated if a client wasn’t happy with the results.

Thank you so much for the love Rena! We definitely have fun working together and feel pretty lucky to be friends :) We were intimidated at the beginning too -- and sometimes we still are, because we're human :) -- but ultimately our goal is always to understand the client's needs and work to meet them, so every job and process looks a little bit different, and that's okay. Sending you love and encouragement if you decide to move forward with organizing as a profession!

OMG! I so enjoy and benefit from your videos. What an added bonus to see how well you two get along, how much fun you have and how your separate talents make you the best collaborators since Lennon & McCartney. Do you sing as well?

I believe we all are meant to meet at the time in our lives we meant to. In your case you guys met because of a certain skill you both shared, Even if at that time you may not have known you had this skill. Go get em girls you guys are really amazing. I only found you a couple of days ago, and because of learning the filing systems my over full draw of undies is now only half full.this is just a start for me but learning to do things a different way has been fun for me so far. Early days yet and I am sure as I see each video that you guys have made my personal space will be so much nicer for me. Thank you.
