Above & Beyond and long-time collaborator Justine Suissa share their first joint effort in over four years, ‘Almost Home’.
‘Almost Home’ is Above & Beyond’s first club track of 2021, arriving just in time for their Group Therapy 450 milestone show at The Drumsheds in London this September. ABGT450 is their first headline show in over a year, and will see the trio perform to an audience of more than 10,000 fans. Later in September, Above & Beyond embark on the Anjunafamily Reunion Tour, which visits major cities across the U.S.A. including sold-out stops at Red Rocks Amphitheatre, Stanford’s Frost Amphitheater and the world-famous Echostage in D.C.
Jono, Tony, Paavo and Justine have been working together since 2000 when they formed the group OceanLab. In 2008, they released their first and only album ‘Sirens Of The Sea’,a record that has gained near-mythical status among trance fans. More recently, Above & Beyond and Justine have collaborated on club hits like ‘Alright Now’, ‘Cold Feet’ and ‘Another Chance’, and emotive, downtempo records like ‘Little Something’.
In 2016, Justine joined Above & Beyond during their sell-out ‘Acoustic II’ tour, which stopped at iconic venues including Royal Albert Hall in London and The Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles.
“This is a track that we originally wrote with Justine some years ago. Like many musicians during lockdown, we buried ourselves in the studio and had plenty of time to pick through old ideas. ‘Almost Home’, with its ’80s production influences, caught our ear. We sent it across to Justine again, and she rewrote the second verse to reflect her feelings on it today - we won’t tell you what it’s about though, we’ll leave that for you to decide. This track started in quite a different form, so we’ve also done a Club Mix to bring it a bit more up-to-date. It’s quite emotional to think that we’ll be able to play this one live for you all very soon. Take care for now!” - Above & Beyond

not to nitpick but axwell, angello and oceanlab in same breath sounds disrespectful to oceanlab. Oceanlab is something so pure I wouldn't mention anything remotely close to mainstream EDM in the same breath with it.

So glad to hear JS again. Funny story, I traveled to South America back in 2008 and the Oceanlab album was the only thing on my phone due to some tech snafu...But it was just the perfect thing.I wanted to make a music video with that music and those puffy Caribbean clouds and I still might. I met some of the coolest people in the world in Ecuador & Venezuela and I credit A&B for introducing us. Anjunafriends are the best.

My gosh, what a gold. I haven't been listening to a track at least 10 times a day in ages. Good old Oceanlab! I feel 20 year younger when I hear this. Sounds like golden trance era which everyone loves, completely different world than modern EDM. I live in Northern Ireland, here there is a local "Q-Radio" where 70% of all music played are years 1995-2005 max. When I visit places like Benone beach (amazing pplace btw), one can hear that old good trance now and then. Hey A&B folks, hello Justine, please make more, you are all we need! Thank you!

I'm sorry, but this sounds NOTHING like OceanLab singles from 2001 - 2005. OcenaLab was vocal TRANCE group, not a big room house group. This sounds LIGHTYEARS away from Clear Blue Water, Beautiful Together, Sky Falls Down, and Satellite. And besides, this isn't an OceanLab song; it's an A&B song with Justine singing and it sounds and is credited as such.

@@alphabetamusic7 Hi, ok, indeed Oceanlab trance sounded different, but there is a version of "Sattelite" which exceeds it's time, the one from Marcus Schultz. While listening to this track I had that particular version in my mind (good old german "Melomania Deluxe" times). Whatever you say, this track rocks in both versions.

I just cant get into whatever Above and Beyond have been doing since Group Therapy.. its not bad music in fact this is agrear song, and the vocals are awesome, its just.. so bleugh to me :( I know this is where their hearts at but.. its not where mine is. I have this annoying suspicion I'd like this song way more if I didn't know Above and Beyond made it, I know that sounds stupid.
