Nah, you’re right. The song needs some buffs: replacing the synth with violin, making the drums play more creative, getting the bass out of its comfort-zone in the last 2 minutes; putting more guitar in the 3 first minutes and go for some palm-mute to « heat it up ». I would surely make the chorus voices sound much less tasteless, adding more sensuality into it.
