Welcome to my Music Theory Tutorials. In this music theory lesson I will guide you through chapter fourteen in ABRSM Music Theory in Practice Grade 1. I explain how to count the steps of the scale and how to count the distance (interval) between two notes.

Music Theory is an integral part of any musician’s studies. Understanding the structures behind the music we play supports our practise and performance. Even if you don’t play an instrument understanding how music is constructed helps us to be a more informed listener.
