Jack's her brother do you mean nick?

@@Always108 Nope. Jack I wrote, and Jack I meant. I know he's her brother ... but that's on paper only. They are not blood-related in any way (Jack is Warren's biological son, while Emily is adopted), so there's nothing to prevent them being together. The way I see the chronology, Jack fell in love with Emily at some point after ahe entered the Byrne family. When they reached adulthood, they became lovers, until something (yet to be known) happened, and drifted away. Eventually she became involved with Nick and married him, and that was the point when Jack started drinking and dating that Semerov's chick (Violet was her name, I think). When Emily disappeared, Jack decided life wasn't worth living, so he dumped Violet, became a full-fledged alcoholic, lost his job. After some time, he started to climb up the deep hole where he put himself, went to rehab twice, tried to make a living by selling medical products, a.s.o. When Emily reappeared like a ghost of the past, Jack's life became messed up again, and he was about to start drinking after more than 2 years of abstinence. The majority of these assumptions can be backed up by clues dropped all over S1, and partly S2. If anything, Jack's remnants of love can be clearly seen in 1x07, in the motel room where Jack saved her life - he was all over the place trying to save her, to soothe and comfort her, and to help her find the truth even if that meant jail time for him (which eventually happened). Oh, and if the writers really want to jump the shark, they can make Jack (aware or not) to be Flynn's father. Or, perhaps this is only my over-active imagination. :")

@@cspresimir I really doubt that would happen tbh. That's very icky him still being her brother 😬 plus Jack had fallen for Alice aswell so now has to grieve her death. There's been no sign of Emily ever being interested in Jack through any of the show would be so random. I think Emily and Nick will probably be end game if not Cal.

@@Always108 :) Time will tell. But if I am any judge of how show writers' minds work, then this is what they would have planned from the very beginning. From now on I will look for heavier clues, like Emily saying to Warren "Please, dad, un-adopt me!" :) or cancel the adoption, or whatever the correct legal term is.
