Amazing condition. I worked for Orr-Tookey Stratford - 1966 till about 1971. It was my first job……….. We visited Wolfsburg and Hannover in 1967 in two split screen VW Transporter Devon Conversion Caravettes, a wonderful experience.
I had a 1973 new super beetle with the flat windshield , that I souped up and drove it for 2 years before doing the most regreatable thing in my life; sold it. Today I own a 2000 1.8 beetle turbo 5 speed, and it is tricked out to put 200 hp .That one I will die with; no selling this time.
@@absoluteclassiccars5050 Standard Beetles had a black plastic cover on the dash from 1968 onwards (On german made models) didnt knew that the UK didnt had those in 1972.
