Aircheck of the last few minutes of Absolute Radio, broadcasting across the UK on 1215kHz/247m and associated frequencies. This recording was made via the Droitwich TX on 1215kHz AM - 19th and 20th January 2023.
When it became Radio 3, it sounded like it was playing on a washing machine on the fast spin cycle! Imagine someone who went into a coma back in 1977 - or got transported through time to around two years ago and wondered why Radio 1 is now calling itself Absolute Radio and has adverts on it and what are The Archers doing on Radio 2? And why Radio 2 is identifying itself as Radio Four?
247m use to be a filler for the light program to start then other relays where put on it became a mess of phasing and audio delay but sad to see it close. Thanks for putting it up in the clear ha.
What radio receiver did you record this from? I do like that you left in a bit of The Fratellis, unlike 100VoltAudio00 and also your version is actually from 1215 not 1197 because you didn't get the echo on 1215 where you were, and you got less interference as well. But of course you only have 1.6K views not 18K, what, because you didn't show the radio receiver and a clock?
